![]() Author has written 2 stories for Legend of Zelda. Hey! Welcome to my profile. It's a little neater than my room, but not much. I'm a little chary of putting too much info on here, so I'll just say that I'm a student, studying engineering in the state of Wisconsin. I like reading a lot, especially fantasy and science fiction. Currently, (as of '12) my two favorite authors are probably Terry Pratchett, and John C. Wright. Both of them write very well. I'd have to say my top few books, if I had to give reccomendations, are Night Watch, by Terry Pratchett, The Golden Age Trilogy by John C. Wright, the Riddle-Master trilogy by Patricia A. McKillip, the Lensmen series by E.E. Doc Smith, (cheesy but a lot of fun!) and maybe the play Cyrano De Bergerac, by Edmund Rostand. But only when read with friends. I find writing easy, and quite enjoyable. Unfortunately, I find plotting (or at least plotting well) extremely difficult, and slow, frustrating work. For quite a while, I would start a story, get a few chapters in, run out of ideas, and drop it. Since then, I've started writing outlines beforehand. As long as I gt a sufficiently detailed outline worked up ahead, the actual writing itself goes pretty smoothly. I also enjoy 3D modeling and animation, using Blender. It's a great toolset, if you're willing to put the time into it, you can make just about anything you can imagine. I've written two stories so far, both for the Legend of Zelda universe. I'm very proud of actually completing both of them. LOZ Ancient Artifacts is actually done, just not fully posted, and it's about 55,000 words long, so it counts as a short novel. I plan to keep writing in the future. I don't know if I'll ever be published, but that's not a big goal for me right now. I'm also considering participating in NaNoWriMo this year, which is where you try and write at least 50,000 words in November. If you think that would be fun, check it out. |
