Hello, here I will be known as Rhalius, my usual alias.

Storytelling in many shapes and forms has been a hobby of mine ever since I was old enough to create characters with toys such as Playmobil and a lesser extent Lego.

Character development was very basic, but already present even back then. Including flawed heroes and villains that werent always too evil. It helped of course that I often played together with my slightly older sister. She'd be there to tell me basic things about history and other things before I would learn it in school.

Around age 11-12 I started writing short comics, usually of one page and between 5-25 pictures long. These where all of the humorous kind, to match my rather cartoony style of drawing.

After some years some side characters developed into something bigger, growing too ambitious for my short cartoons and I was not quite up to the task of drawing much longer cartoons since my drawing was not up to speed with my ideas.

In my teens I spend quite some time on this story, drawing all characters and developing their personalities, but I never got much further than writing down overviews of the chapters and early drafts of some chapters. It was too much of a mess with too much going on. Probably the fault of many teen writers, wanting to put every idea they have into one story.

Martial Arts tournaments, aliens, time travelers, the undead, cyborgs, sorcerers, mutants, commando's, bankrobbers, higher powers... it was all present in that story for which the main location was New York city. So I pretty much abandoned that story once I started working on another, which I am still working at. I still remember all the info about this old story though and might use individual characters of it in new stories sometimes.

Around the age of 18 I was introduced to roleplaying in the game Neverwinter Nights. It has been a great way to tell stories since you get instant feedback about the character you created. Some proved to less interesting than expected, and one became immensely popular which I never had expected to happen.

It gave me many new insights about how people respond to various character types, it taught me a lot about female characters in particular, giving me better understanding of them.

During the time I was still new to roleplaying, I also started working on my new story, featuring characters used in Neverwinter Nights. The initial goal of the story was to portray a realistic and appealing female hero who is not sexualised. And I am still sticking to that.

This story has turned into my masterpiece pretty much, and might still take many years to complete. The setting is fictional, and requires me to create many countries, religions, customs, political situations, and of course many characters. Theres no rush with it since I want it to be perfect.

In the meanwhile however, I'd like to work on smaller stories that dont require me to create a setting so I can focus on practicing actually writing which I really have not done much of outside of roleplaying and writing down detailed backgrounds.

So that I have actually something to show for and reference to if need be.

Hopefully my stories will be enjoyed, and I welcome all constructive feedback. If you think its good, please tell me what you like about it and if its bad, tell me what you dislike about it. Feel free to point out my mistakes, I can learn from it.

Best regards,

Rhalius.
