Sayuri's Book of Things to Throw Away (Naruto)
A young woman from our world inexplicably dies and somehow "cheats" the reincarnation system, allowing her to be reborn the the Naruto world with all memories intact from her last life. These memories, however, may not all be beneficial to her. The story starts out fairly adventurous and riddled with black humor, but gets darker as Sayuri lives her second life while still dealing with the fact that "I died, and now I can die again, and I don't want to die again." The story focuses on the theme"The future cannot be escaped." With that in mind, you can probably guess the last thing that Sayuri throws away.

The Tale of Two Outlasts (Natsume Yuujinchou)
The day starts out normal. She swaps a few spirits with her bat, gets hit with rocks thrown by humans, and spends the afternoon wandering through the forests alone. It's only when she drops by a sealed shrine that she finds something interesting. A spirit (because there isn't any possibility that he couldn't be a spirit - no human can be that kind) in the form of a young man, looking for all purposes lost and maybe just a bit suspicious. When Reiko defeats him and forces him to give her his name, he writes, in completely understandable human script, "Takashi."
