Hawke, a female mage, is devastated by the outcome of her mother's disappearance. Merrill attempts to comfort her lover but Hawke is in no place to accept her well-intentioned words. Contains spoilers for the quest "All That Remains" in Act II. This moment hit me hard and I wanted to flesh it out a bit.
