![]() Author has written 1 story for Glee. I AM A VORACIOUS READER I'm a lover of almost all things literary; I buy a book at least once a month. The fact that, these days, most of my fun is found on the Internet hasn't dimmed my ardour, at all. I discovered fanfiction way back in the '70s with the old Star Trek fan oeuvres. As a child, they soothed a hurt in me that the series was only in syndication and I would never get any more new shows. I was happy to discover those books and I've met many people who felt the same way I did. Later, I moved on to other fanfiction based on TV series that had come and gone. I promised myself that one day I would contribute to this wonderful world of writings developed from the feverish imaginations of devoted fans. I haven't fulfilled that promise as yet; I'm still enjoying other people's offerings so much. I was introduced to fanfiction of other genre when I came to this country. I'm a science fiction fan and never, ever thought I'd find fan writings of, say, White Collar, Harry Potter or NCIS interesting but I was wrong. I love them! As for Glee - I am addicted to pairings like Kurt/Puck, Kurt/Dave, Kurt/Sam and Kurt/Finn. I will occasionally read a completed Klaine story but I find the pairing somewhat uninspiring. The two boys are too much alike, in my opinion, despite the fact that I think Darren Criss is all sorts of gorgeous. Well, with all that said, I plan to review as many of my favourite writings as possible. I promise to always be fair and respectful but I absolutely hate poor grammar even more than I do poor spelling. I do know that, for some of the best writers out there, English is not their native language so, in their cases, I will be lenient. I absolutely hate derogatory language of all sort; anything racist, sexist, ageist, you name it, I will not be happy in my reviews. That being said, I don't intend to sink to others' level and berate writers. I intend to quite enjoy myself as I am absolutely passionate about fanfiction. |
