Adore Thunderbirds (original series, not the recent-ish film) and Harry Potter. Am known to frolic in woods and meadows, engage myself in esoteric pursuits, wear seventy-plus-year-old clothes, listen to seventy-plus-year-old music, mumble, and laugh a lot. Writing is a very enjoyable hobby for me, as well as a (small just now) source of income. I've published a couple of books, one of which is the first in a series of time-travel (sans machines) fantasy novels. Favourite authors: Jean Cocteau, Penelope Farmer, Kurt Vonnegut, Brett Halliday, F. Scott Fitzgerald--weird mix, I know. I draw as well, mainly in ink, and am inspired very much by Edward Gorey, Dame Darcy, and 1920s-1950s illustrations from books, magazines, comic books, and advertisements. Another huge influence on my work is classic film from the 1930s to the 1950s. |
