From the desk of Outcast’s Lady :

I am the history nut behind Outcast No More. I am thirty – something with too much time on my hands- Ha Ha. No really I write instead if watch TV- not much to watch these days- thank God for PBS. I enjoy Mystery and Masterpiece Theater very much, History Detectives –of course, American Experience, most anything interesting about the past. I’m an avid Civil War buff , I am reading the North and South trilogy again, in part for research for my Outcast story. The Civil War period is interesting to me because of the complexities of the times, the choices people had to make , the reasons they made the choices they made. I found the movie Gods and Generals very interesting, and loved it – and was very unhappy when it did not get the awards and praise it deserved. I liked Gettysburg first as it came out first, and I am looking forward to the third movie in the trilogy when they ever get it made! Other historical movies that are in my collection are- Gone With the Wind, North and South , The Blue and the Gray, King Arthur, Lonesome Dove, Master and Commander, Gladiator- I also like adaptations of Jane Austin’s novels on film too- Did I mention I’m a hopeless romantic too- so my favorite get away books are historical romances- my favorite author is Lori Wick.

I say sometimes I was born in the wrong century, I grew up reading Louis L’amour and Zane Grey novels and still like a good western movie, I am an artist and enjoy painting western art and horses. I ride horses and live on a farm/ ranch- I can’t imagine living in a small town even!

Music- I like Sinatra, some big band, classic country , Some light classical ( Mozart, Beethoven) , sound track albums, King Arthur, Pearl Harbor, Gods and Generals. Some soft rock, Michael Bolton, Sting, and I really enjoy Celtic music, perhaps because my family’s roots are in Ireland and Scotland, two places I would love to visit. I am taking a writing course for writing for young adults and children, - My Outcast story has been good practice, I would like to write for adults some too- My sister and fellow writer dragged me into writing the Outcast story- just kidding in part- she did encourage me and I am having fun with it. For now I am single with no children – so I shall write other people’s stories. Thank you for your support and lovely reviews! God bless!
