I was once AriaStorm. Then I was BrokenMockingjay.

Thank you to all who stayed with me through my journey on here. Thank you to those who comforted me, those who pointed out my flaws, those who gave me hope, and those who continue to inspire me. Thank you to my friends and to my readers. I'm sorry for letting you all down, for running and hiding and only coming out to say goodbye far too late.

BrokenMockingjay was me, once. But I grew and I changed and I became better and I became worse. I no longer was BrokenMockingjay: she was polluted with lies and full of shining shards of mirrors of my beautiful past and white innocence. Unlike most people, I got caught and strangled in who I was as Broken. I was trapped and in pain and I couldn't grow, not with all the webs of lies and the expectations. I had to leave, and I did. I left in my sneaky and underhanded way, abandoning everyone as I shut down the window for good.

But I came back. Far too late and far too guilty with far too little. I came back to say sorry. And this is my apology, my explanation, my closure, the finale in this play as the curtain drops on this Broken stage with no audience.

I'm sorry. I wish I could finish my SYOT and my little tribute to the tributes, but I can't. I'm not BrokenMockingjay anymore. I'm me, and writing those things with so many strings and puppeteers and agendas isn't something I can do. I'm sorry, i'm a coward.

Goodbye, once and for all. BrokenMockingjay has been laid to rest in my heart and mind, and she will rest forever in this position, frozen in time and through turmoil. I'm shutting the door and burning down this house of dreams and then nightmares. My bittersweet refuge.

I miss her, sometimes. I miss you all, a lot.

Perhaps I will come back. Not as Broken, but perhaps as whoever I am now. Goodbye, all of you. Goodbye, BrokenMockingjay.
