This isn't a game. I can't just toss the board away and ruin the whole game just because I don't like the way the game is going. I can't stop in the middle of it all and say, "I give up. I'm losing." and sweep my hand across the board, scattering pieces in the process, then picking them up and starting anew.

This isn't a game. My life isn't a game. No one's is. So if you think I can change shallowness and casualness with a toss of the board or with a sweep of my arm, that's where you're VERY wrong.
