Kate and Caroline are on loan from Last Tango, which was written by Sally Wainwright who has now finally admitted that it was a mistake to kill off Kate. Here K and C will be treated with respect and love and some wrongs will be righted. Last Tango in Halifax - I still miss Caroline and Kate, so I wanted to write a short story where they spend an afternoon together some time after the end of Series One. These characters belong to Sally Wainwright - unfortunately I am only borrowing!

Caroline and Kate split up after their weekend at the hotel. They haven't seen each other for two years when they meet again.

Kate had left a surprise for Caroline before the whole two rooms, break up saga. I am hoping to continue on for a few chapters if the feedback isn't too bad :)

We meet Caroline and Kate as they are still just acquaintances. From chapter 6 and on some of the key scenes and dialogue from Last Tango in Halifax seasons 1-3 are sprinkled here and there while the actual story goes in a bit of a different direction. This is only the 2nd story I've ever written, so I'm learning as I go(and having a load of fun!).

An AU set on the birthday weekend. How did it come to this? What would have provoked Kate to lash out like that? Why was it so hard for Caroline to book a double room? It made me ponder what the back story could be...and...how would I have resolved the weekend?

Caroline meets Kate under very different circumstances - a damsel in distress on Hallows Eve. A mysterious Kate has a secret that might break a growing closeness with Caroline. How will it develop and will they both find the happiness they so dearly seek. The idea is not mine, it is based on a book by Karen Williams called Love Spell. Characters belong to Sally Wainwright.

Caroline is a mum of 2 with a busy job and a husband who has just walked out on her. Kate is a brilliant teacher that works too hard to hide the fact that she is lonely. This is a prequel to Last Tango in Halifax Series 1 and sets out one possibility as to how our 2 favourite ladies could have got together.

It's been a long while since I've posted any stories...but these two...they just beg for more. My take on a Caroline and Kate beginning. These character's of Sally Wainwright have captured my imagination. I've never wanted a good book to end - or an exceptional Series such as Last Tango in Halifax. So I'm experimenting with taking them beyond the storyline while attempting to stay true to what Sally has given us to this point, the end of season 2. My thanks to everyone who brought this production to us.

It's a working process but I've had few ideas to start with, looking at Dr Caroline Elliot her past, the present and the future. And then there is Kate...

I felt like writing a story based on a good old fanfic cliche, so this is Caroline and Kate accidentally forced to share a bed. You, um, probably shouldn't read this at work. My third story for Mcelliot.

What would have happened if Kate and Caroline had grown closer when Caroline's marriage was still intact? Would they have resisted all temptation or been drawn into a painful love affair? My second story for McElliot.

This was originally going to be a chapter of The Future is Past but it seemed...bigger than that. It's set between S2, Ep4 and S2, Ep6 where Caroline had a lot of time on her hands and a lot of thinking to do. The title is taken from a Pablo Neruda poem. If you don't read my fic, please read the poem. In fact, just read Neruda.
