Thor/Avengers AU: While out for his daily run, Steve Rogers stumbles across Loki. There's only one glaring difference to how the Captain remembers the god of Mischief and how he appears now. Loki doesn't look like he can be older than six or seven years of age, nor can Steve ignore the utter terror he sees in the boys eyes.

Or "Four Times Loki Hugged His Mother." Four moments in the lives of the Queen of Asgard and her youngest son.

AU in which Laufey never abandoned Loki as an infant (but was still anything but a good father). When Jotunheim wages war against Odin yet again, he takes the young prince back to Asgard as a political prisoner. An unlikely friendship forms between enemies. Rated T to be safe, there may be some violence in later chapters.

One-shot. The Silvertongue is robbed of his voice, so he turns to another method of communication. Post-Avengers, featuring mute!Loki, artist!Loki, and Odin's solid B parenting. T for some gruesome/violent imagery.

When Odin dies, Loki does not merely succumb to madness. He embraces it. One-shot, post-TDW. (Warning for brief reference to a suicide attempt.)

That Jotun warrior never grabbed Loki's arm and revealed his true nature to him. Instead of banishing Thor immediately after nearly starting a war on Jotunheim, Odin first takes his eldest son aside and tells him of Loki's heritage. Basically, an AU in which Thor finds out his brother is a Frost Giant before Loki himself does.

A young Thor discovers he has power over thunder and lightning–-but he has more trouble controlling it than he'd like. Contains a healthy dose of Odinson bro feels. (They're older kids in this, like maybe ten and twelve.)

AU. Loki's fall from the Bifrost killed him. His spirit returns to haunt Asgard, but Frigga is the only one able to see or hear him. Even more unfortunately, Loki has not yet realized that he is dead.

Basically exactly what the title says. A little humor, a little angst.

Modern AU. Loki has always lived in the shadow of his older brother Thor, the heir to their father's company. It's not until their father has a stroke that the brothers are forced to get their issues out in the open and work on their strained relationship. One-shot.

Loki's youth was not all shadow. Some of it was bathed in starlight, as he and Thor sat upon the Asbru bridge, inventing the legends of the constellations that tower above the kingdom of Asgard.

After Svartalfheim, Loki is still alive. In the end, it changes nothing. In which Thor hurts, Loki loves, and Jane learns how to lie.

The Avengers are having a New Year's Eve party at Stark Tower, but, for once, Thor isn't in the mood to celebrate. Jane's POV, post-TDW. One-shot.

When young Prince Loki saves an orphaned wolf cub and decides to keep it as his pet, he could never have known the irony of the situation, or that his action would have deeper repercussions than anyone guessed. Ties in with the beginning of "The Dark World" but no spoilers. Four-shot. Complete.

There was a tapestry that hung on Frigga's wall for as long as Thor could remember. He would never admit it, but the sight of it made him want to cry.

None of this was supposed to happen. SHIELD wasn't supposed to find Thor and Loki on Earth three years after the battle. Loki wasn't supposed to be a silent shadow of who he once was. And the Avengers...weren't ever meant to have to endure the madness that would follow. "Cry, Loki. Cry."

Thor suffers in reality, because in Thor's dreams, Loki is waiting for him. In Thor's dreams, Loki breathes.

Loki defeats Thor in a way that he does not expect. Strangely, the consequences are painful.

There are very few reasons why Loki would break down in front of all of Asgard. This was one of them. In which Asgard demands proof that Loki has a heart, and thus they break it. Post-Avengers

He was Captain America, the supersoldier, the man out of time. He was Thor Odinson, god of thunder, the golden crown prince. But sometimes they were able to catch their breath and were just two men trying to find their way through the world.

Thor and Loki's journey goes awry, and Thor learns that just because he is powerful doesn't mean he can always be the protector. In which Thor realizes that to be strong is to know defeat, and the worst battles are not won by blood.
