Currently posting The Human Order of Guardians, which I've been working on since January 2014, and as of 3rd March 2015 is currently 487 pages long on Word. Without chapter spacing.

If you want artwork and other information surrounding the world of HOG, I suggest looking at my DeviantArt page, which is under the same username. Be wary though, I am much further ahead with the story on there than I am here. There is also a group if anyone wants to have a look at that.

My plan for it is to split the story into three arcs, and post each arc as separate stories, with an extra one for profiles and one shots. I'm doing this mainly because the first arc is 40 chapters long. Yeah.

The second arc is going to be called 'Human Order of Guardians: Howling Shadows' The third arc shall be called 'Don't Fear the Reaper'

I suppose I should point out that I do not have any rights to 'Rise of the Guardians' and 'Guardians of Childhood', those belong to Dreamworks and William Joyce respectively.

I am also working on a cross over with HOG, Percy Jackson, Kane Chronicles and The Blackwell Pages. That will be about two stories long and will mostly use OC's, with canon characters making an appearance. It will be set in around 2025, the being assumed on whether of not the books/films occurred in the year they were published/released. For example, Percy Jackson was released in 2005, by the logic the Heroes of Olympus series takes place in winter 2008/summer 2009.

Rise of the Guardians came out in 2012 and was set in Easter of 2012 (presumably) therefore the beginning of HOG takes place in December 2012.

Not sure on Kane Chronicles, I will get to that, but Blackwell Pages was published in 2013 and takes place in September, you can see where I'm going with this.

It's still a work in progress, and will not see the light of day until it is done and I am happy with it. Although I don't know how well that will go; I've 'finished' Human Order of Guardians, but I'm still managing to add bits to it.

Wait, Rick Riodern announced a new series? About Norse mythology? Where the main character may or may not be related to Annabeth? Called 'Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard'? I...I...

Why would you do this to meeeeeeeee!?

Also maybe a Big Four one? Where all the Big Four are seasonals and I get to play around with Descendant concepts for them. I have a lot of fun with that.

Fun ideas, but work on them has slowed to non-existance and a lot of the character development that was going to go in them has worked its way into the collabs I've been writing with MIMitationBalance, so would make all of the above redundant in that respect. I haven't completely given up on the ideas, but no promises.

Speaking of the collab with MIMitationBalance, there's one thing I haven't said about it. The original HOG stories take place in a combined film/book universe with no extra Guardians, it's completely as it was. The stuff with Mim, kinda of depends on who you're asking. In my mind it's a separate universe from both the original HOG and Mimpossible stories, it's basically the two, combined. Although reading Mim's profile she seems to consider the crossover stuff as still being in her universe, which is fine, I mean, if that's how she wants to interpret it, fine. We did work it out on a timeline and most of her stuff actually takes place between my arc 1 and 2, so it works out and I do have a little one shot explaining where Mim was during the events of 'Don't Fear the Reaper' just need one for 'Howling Shadows'. I'll get on that.

Go check her stuff out as well if you want, I'd recommend it actually, some of the stuff she's got planned for the future sounds pretty good!

Something unrelated, but I want to keep here, whenever I read a ROTG story that involves immortals I will often start thinking up Descendant ideas. Admittedly most of them are similar, Death, Cupid and Jack O'Lantern Descendants tend to be interchangable, with only appearance and origin changing.(I don't often mention this to the actual writers for fear of coming across as arrogant or big headed, just so you know that's what's going on in my head every time I read a new ROTG story).

And for those that are wondering, I do have Descendant ideas around Ombric and Mother Nature, the latter of which will appear in 'Don't Fear the Reaper'. I don't have any for Nightlight, as it is stated that he is, and always has been, the only one of his kind. I feels wrong to violate that. I will admit that yes, Bunny and Sandy are technically the last of their kind, along with Tooth, who is technically a hybrid, but they were never the only ones. There was a race of Pooka, Sandy came from a family of Star Captains, Tooth's mother was a Sister of Flight. While they are the only ones now, they weren't always,
which is the whole concept of the Human Order of Guardians! Nightlight, as far as I'm aware, doesn't have that. (Not to mention the new Jack Frost book on the way that seems to indicate that he and Nightlight are one and the same. That'll be interesting to work with!)

I've been thinking about Descendant's of Katherine, despite how vague her initially power is. For those who don't know, Katherine is the Guardian of Storytelling (something I think everyone on this website can relate to) and is hinted to be Mother Goose. Her power is to make stories come to life, which can be taken literally or figuratively. Taken figuratively, it's a really vague and not exactly unique ability, taken literally, and then things get interesting. How far can it go with her Descendants? I suppose I should be the one answering that question.
I have come up with a short description already, where they work very closely with the Descendants of Ombric, but I think I need a little more time to work on it.

Although, I will admit I dropped the ball when it came to the Monkey King, his Descendants could have been antagonists! Oh well, too late, all written up, maybe for another time...
