![]() Author has written 5 stories for Harry Potter, and Gunsmoke. So...a little about me. Not too interesting, I'm afraid--perhaps that is why I like to read and write fanfiction, it allows me to safely create a fun, exciting world, completely under control. Well not entirely. Sometimes the characters get out of hand and run about doing their own thing. I am a late twenties, single girl. I was brought up in rural Ohio, and I am definately a country mouse, and only care to venture into the city (Cincinnati) to go to the theater or a concert now and again. Which brings me to my interests, I love music, all kinds! I really mean all kinds. My car CD holder and MP3 player contains everything from Barbra Streisand to Bluegrass to Beethoven, with a whole lot of country and rock inbetween. I would really love to marry Josh Groban, but he hasn't seemed to find me yet. :) I love to travel. I have a goal to visit all 50 states before I die, and so far I've been to 32. I also have a love of National Parks, hiking, and the outdoors in general. I've been to Niagra Falls, the Great Smokey Mountains, Yellowstone, Yosemite, The Grand Canyon, and Rocky Mountain National Park, and Volcanos National Park to name a few. I have been fortunate enough to visit Germany, Austria, and Switzerland on two different, fabulous vacations and feel that it would be divine to live in Salzburg. I am dying to visit the U.K., and Greece and Italy as well. I saw a picture of Dubrovnik, Croatia and have made a solemn vow to myself that I will someday stand atop the wall. Basically, I work to go on vacation; and of course, eat. I love theater. Both as an audience member and an occasional performer. By performer, I mean just our community productions where I am more than content to stand in the back row and smile. My favorite musical is Les Miserables, and as for plays, I'm not sure I have a favorite, but one of the best I've seen is Golda's Balcony, with Valerie Harper. And, if I ever catch wind of Dame Maggie Smith performing live again whether in London or New York, I will grab my credit card, hop on a plane, and create my own 'life takes visa' moment! I love movies. I am a complete movie nerd. I love classic movies especially, and watch a lot of TCM. My favorite actresses are Katharine Hepburn and Maggie Smith. My faves of the great Kate are The African Queen, Bringing Up Baby, State of the Union, and Rooster Cogburn and the Lady. Anything with Maggie Smith is worth watching, if only just for her. She is divine, and truly steals every film she is in regardless of the size of her role. She is especially awesome in Othello, the Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, The Missionary, A Private Function, The Lonely Passion of Judith Hearne, and Keeping Mum is just about the funniest movie I have ever seen in my life. I love Murder by Death, and her Aunt Betsy Trotwood in David Copperfield may be my favorite role for her--she is precious in that. And of course she rocks as Minerva, and I feel she was totally gipped in OTP, she was my total hero in the book, and there was none of her great scenes in the movie. What a waste. Books: There is not enough space. I am a total bookworm. And I love all genres. My favorite book of all time is Little Women, and I love Pride and Predjudice, and For Whom the Bell Tolls. I read all seven of the Harry Potter books continuously, and I love the Lord of the Rings. I love Michael Crichton and Sophie Consella and Jane Austen. I love westerns, Louis L'amour and Larry McMurtry. I read tons of fanfiction to the detriment of actually accomplishing anything in real life. I love the Harry Potter fanfiction, but I pretty much only read Albus/Minerva stories, though I will read just about anything with Minerva as the main character. I read and write Gunsmoke ff, and I read Star Trek Voyager ff (I am not smart enough to write Star Trek). So there you have it, way more than you ever wanted to know about me! |
