This is my take of the clato story. This is by far my favorite hunger games couple and i really wish they could have won. He knew Clove loved her knife more than anything in the world. It was the only thing she really cared about. So when she pressed the knife into his hand during her final moments, he knew he meant much more to her than just a district partner. Cato/Clove

She screams a name, her partner, the one that she had a silent agreement with since the beginning, ever since they were reaped as they shared a knowing glance over the large glass bowls and podium. But he was just a bit too late.

Some vital cord inside him frays and snaps when the cannon sounds, and the ensuing silence deafens him, or maybe it's the blood rushing in his ears, blood that's warm and running and alive, blood so unlike what's still seeping from Clove's head.

I'm not good at summaries, but this is just Clove's death in Cato's POV. I got there a few seconds too late. I watch, almost in slow motion, as the rock in Thresh's hand comes down on her skull and she falls to the ground with a thud.

It's the night before the 74th annual Hunger Games and Clove can't sleep. She visits Cato, and he shows her how the whole twisted reality show can be avoided...

TWO-SHOTS. Clove and Cato are from district 2. They were trained to kill and win for their dristicts. But they are human as well? They are teenager as well. They have feelings and also dreams. They are just humans and they want to survivce too

Clove's last thoughts. Something to make her seem more real. Besides, Katniss and Peeta weren't the only star-crossed lovers

"We're winning this together, Clove. Remember, we're going home." Clato.

The three times he saved her, and the one time he wasn't in time. I suck at titles/descriptions

Cato regretted the time when he allowed Clove to go to the feast alone. In the end, he felt guilty when he wasn't able to reach her in time. They could have won the games, went back to their district and celebrate as victors. Only it didn't happened.

'You're weak,'she would tell him, her trademark smirk dancing across her lips. He doesn't mention the fact that she's the dead one now. Cato/Clove

Who were they to know they were doomed from the very start - that their imminent deaths were what would make them realize their feelings for each other? Cato/Clove. Clato. Hunger Games!

This is just how I interpreted Cato and Clove's relationship. It sticks pretty close to the book's plot. I was so upset when Clove died and this is just how I felt that Cato responded. Feel free to review this, but I'm not going to beg.

But she wasn't, because she was on the the ground and she couldn't be because he had promised and he didn't break his promises. One shot, my take on Clove's death scene from the MOVIE.
