Hi, I'm Terrie. I enjoy a wide range of fandoms. I've been diddling with fanfiction for over 10 years now. My more current stuff is currently found on AO3, under Terrie01.

There are three things you should know about my views on writing:

1) I enjoy slash/yaoi. I also enjoy het fic, that is m/f. (Heck, I even like gen -- no pairings). I also see no problem with f/f, though I generally don't write it. Which ones you find here really depends on the genre. Who cares, as long as its well written? In other words, I like a wide range of stuff.

2) I feel that you like what you like. There are a lot of people who like things in fanfic that make me wince and quickly hit the back button. That's okay. Not everyone likes the food I do, not everyone likes the fic I do. All I ask is that they extend the same attitude towards me, and admit that it's okay I like what they don't like.

3) I believe in honest critique. Fandom tends to go towards praise/flame extremes. Either it's perfect and wonderful, or it sucks and the author is evil. Neither of these helps to improve my writing. If there is something honestly wrong with what I write, I want to hear it. I also take the same attitude when *giving* feedback. This means that I will call other authors on their spelling, grammar and punctuation, or iffy and difficult to follow points in their pieces. This doesn't mean that they're bad writers. It means that they have room for improvement, just like anyone else. Even writers are human.
