Or, the one where Jane is a ballerina, Wickham is a reporter, and Elizabeth and Darcy go swimming (eventually).

Posting-in-Progress, celebrating the 5-year anniversary of this publication and I'm returning to to post my backlist stories. This is the first JAFF story I wrote that wonders what if Elizabeth saved Mr. Darcy on the evening of the assembly from a riding accident?

It's the swinging 60s and when Charlotte Lucas goes missing on a trip to London, Elizabeth Bennet descends on the city in order to find her best friend. She is quickly dragged into the twists and turns of the city's crime-ridden underbelly, but arguably the biggest pain in her neck is the very handsome – and unbearably old-fashioned – detective in charge of the Lucas case.

A mysterious force tied Elizabeth Bennet's soul to Fitzwilliam Darcy. Darcy had disappeared years ago, and Elizabeth dreamed of a man she must rescue from a terrible fate. But Mr. Bennet refused to help her.

After Elizabeth rejects Darcy's insulting proposal, he is devastated. He cannot watch her make a mistake of such magnitude. When Mr. Wickham begins to aggressively court Elizabeth, Darcy knows that he has to make his move before she makes a disastrous decision.

Modern AU variation - When Jane and Charles announce their engagement (yay!) William Darcy finally finds out who Jane's sister is. And he instantly doesn't like her. Elizabeth thinks he's a stick in the mud and some other choice words. Will they overcome their past and their differences for the sake of their friends and family? Probably, but not without some awkward situations.

Pride and Prejudice variation with a supernatural twist. When Mr. Bennet dies Lizzy ends up at Rosings Park in the position of companion to Lady Catherine. She quickly learns there is something not right with both the house and the woman who controls it. Note: Will be removed 9/15/19 in preparation for publication.

My take on a Modern Romance of Fitzwilliam (William) Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett. All AU! I am excited to take a crack at this P&P is my absolute favorite classic!
