Iâm a system owner, and I specialize in small infrastructures. That includes, according to my own personal invented standards, networks with less than around 200 hosts. Iâve ended up a sysadmin since around 2002, when I became this Assistant Network Administrator of an ISP in West Va. I eventually became the primary administrator there, and later moved to Columbus, OH where I took my current role as system administrator on the small risk management firm. I relocated to North/Central Nj in the early part of 2009. I am a web developer and process administrator by trade, together with an electronics enthusiast as a result of night. Advancement wise, I focus mostly with PHP and Perl and have been involved in the creation of some very well known brands developing web-sites using Magento e-Commerce (my own speciality) and WordPress (though Iâm not at the liberty to name artists (white label, legitimate stuff), but in the event you look hard enough, youâll see them) I am a Windows System Admin looking for a way to combine my research found on the many products I support. This blog will cover SharePoint, Deployment Toolkit, Dynamic Directory, SQL Server, and other Microsoft Products. I have been working as the Windows System Admin since Dec 2007. In that time I have implemented the Active Directory Infrastructure, SharePoint 2010, Home's windows 7, and upgraded the SQL Server Environment to version 2008 R2 along with other tasks and responsibilities. Lets begin with a little bit about myself. My birthplace residence resides inside little town of Humphrey, NY, which is about sixty miles south of Buffalo grass, NY. Early on on my career, my location prevented me from advancing with technology as fast when i would have liked to. However, through determination and perseverance, I have managed to get by with what little technology I was presented with. I inhabited a very rural community that had (and still has) about 800 residents and thousands of acres of farm land. I have since relocated to Ny for a software improvement job, I live in Chelsea which is in the lower component of Manhattan. With 12 many years of application development together with system administration, I are immersed in many diverse situations in both the design and maintenance of complex pcs. By using specification-driven design and development and by maintaining focus on the details, solutions are created for the customers that meet all their needs. I find particularly interesting those problems that require integrating into a current infrastructure; especially those problems is actually documentation may be wanting. I am also skilled in providing training and support for numerous environments and systems. As a Computer Geek, I've my own little network and computer lab at home. I also admin mine mail and web server (the brains behind hosts this site), and develop my own web pages. For what it's worth, just about the only tools I used to create the pages on this website were my brain and also the vi text editor (you don't think I might the make image files which has a text editor do you?:). Amongst my fellow Computer Geeks I've frequently been called the mire guy, because vi is my own favourite text editor and I'm always able to teach everyone something new about this. Since 2001, I have worked as a system administrator for a web hosting company with Research Triangle Park, NORTH CAROLINA. After work, I make an attempt to work on my programming skills and, unfortunately, usually tend to end up playing computer games instead. I've grown up around computers. My first computer was a TI-99/4A laptop. I first started coding by keying in BASIC programs shipped with issues of the 99er newspaper and, later, Home Pc Magazine. I have very fond memories of these programs, including a version of Battleship in addition to a logic puzzle Boolean Head (apparently available here for those who have an emulator). Subsequently, this gave me more than enough information to, along with a now-almost-dead TI Extended FUNDAMENTAL manual, start writing my own programs. I then made a jump to the IBM PC when I bought access to one of my own and started learning together with using Turbo Pascal.
