Author has written 1 story for Buffy: The Vampire Slayer. I always add my own characters. I don't know why, it's just something I do. If you have a poblem with that, I'm sorry but that's the way I am. Many people tend to call my characters "Mary-Sues." I hate that term. Here's why. In every description of "Mary-Sue" I've ever heard, it always involves the girl (or boy, if it's a "Gary-Stu") being "perfect." Even when we fan-fic authors add flaws we still continue to hear the term "Mary Sue." Here's my reply to all of those so-called "critics." A new character is an extention of ourselves. Authors always try to put a little of themselves into our stories, and when we can't identify with an already existing character, we put our own characters. In any case, I never really looked at any original character as being a "Mary-Sue" because there really isn't such a thing. There is only a well-writen character and a poorly-writen character. That being said, I hope you enjoy my stories.Quick and random dissclaimer. (Why? Cause I always forget to put this in my stories.) |
