![]() Author has written 1 story for Sookie Stackhouse/Southern Vampire Mysteries. I'm very happy that I stumbled upon FFn and the SVM community, because it is allowing me an outlet for writing, which is a hobby I have always wanted to indulge but never had the time or the tools. I still don't have the time, but now I have the tools! (LOL) Believe it or not, I am a family physician who is giving up a busy, demanding practice to dedicate a few years to my children as a stay at home mom. I couldn't be happier or more excited. I will miss caring for patients and sharing their lives, but I have regretted deeply the time I have wasted not being with my babies. They are growing so fast. And I hope to be able to dip into the Sookieverse often once I stop working soon. To be honest, my deepest passion in college was literature (I was a Shakespeare nut), but through pressures both outside and inside, I found myself heading down the path of a medical career. I picked Family Medicine because it felt so right to be caring for people from birth to death, and it best reflected the now-disappearing role of the "town doctor" who delivered your baby, then cared for your ailing grandmother and over time knew you and your family like they were his/her own. As an outlet for stress, my mother introduced me to "sex books" (as she still fondly refers to them), and I became an avid reader of Jude Deveraux, Julie Garwood, and my alltime favorite Nora Roberts. Then I discovered Charlaine Harris, and as my husband suspects, I am now addicted to the SVM world. Both my hubby and I have enjoyed True Blood on HBO, but I am disheartened by the direction the show is taking away from the novels. Then I made the happy discovery of FFn, and as they say, the rest is history. Please enjoy my stories as I work on them. I'm even toying of starting my own series, but only time will tell if I am able to bring that to fruition. I apologize if my stories seem a little "wordy," as I tend to be long-winded; but one of my favorite aspects of the written word is the lyricism and musicality of literature, so I try to really paint a picture with my words as I write. Enjoy, and send feedback! |
