After some fifteen years off, I'm putting my big toe back into the fanfic water.

I'm slogging my way through a Ph.D at the moment, which means a lot of writing, but not a lot of fun writing. This is me trying to enjoy myself with words for a change.

Hmmm, what else? I'm 27; I'm a single, white female; I use a wheelchair (thus the moniker); and I have a thing for commas and semicolons. That last bit is the important part of that sentence, in case you were wondering. Pity me at your own risk. I've been told I have an 'acerbic wit,' which I took to be a compliment of the highest order, and I dwell quite happily in the land of sarcastic retorts. My sense is I'm not the only one with that particular address around these parts.

I like to laugh. I love to teach. I am endlessly amazed by what language can do.
