What can I say? I’m a pilot. I don’t always wind up in a place that is easy for visitors to explore. So I kill time by writing fanfiction. I’ve loved games since I was sitting in my dad’s lap playing River Raid, Submarine Commander, and The Black Cauldron more than 30 years ago. That’s right: I’m a grown man in a position of real responsibility who writes fanfiction. Draw what conclusions you will.

A few things you should know:

1: I belong firmly to the school of thought that a light saber will make anything at least 2% more awesome. Whatever the setting of one of my fanfictions, a glowing laser sword will probably be involved somehow. This is one darling I cannot kill. I am partial to white, black, red, and green blades.

2: I like quality reviews. Reviews that congratulate me for my ability to paste words into a text box don’t help me. If you liked a chapter or a story, do more than just tell me about it. Tell me why you liked it. As much as I write fanfiction for my personal entertainment, I flatter myself that I write things that other people would like to read. Odds are, I will produce more of what you liked as a result.

3: In a similar vein if you didn’t like it, talk to me about it. There is no need to be sarcastic or mean-spirited; just be honest. Tell me what exactly you didn’t like. Unless it breaks the spirit of item 1, I will take it into consideration in my future efforts. Keep it respectful, honest, and precise, and I will allow even the most damning review to be publically visible.
