Fandom Opinions:

Total Drama : I consider TDI to be my first fandom (yes, even before Harry potter). I started watching it during the middle of the first season and instantly fell in love. Total Drama Island is very unique; how many game shows using animated characters are there? Not many. There is a diverse group of characters, and while there are certainly stereotypical characters, most of them are relatable and different. My personal favorite character has always been Gwen-- she's smart, strong, and can take care of her self, which I strongly valued as a kid. Naturally, I hated Heather, but I've since come to realize that she's probably one of the most realistic characters in the show. I mean, come one, 100k can make people do some crazy and manipulative stuff. Unfortunately, after TDI I think that the Total Drama series really went downhill. Total Drama Action was just not as interesting, especially since Gwen and Trent both left extremely early (which upset me greatly as a kid) and I've never brought myself to rewatch the series. Thankfully, Total Drama World Tour was infinitely better. The songs are catchy, the challenges actually make some sense, and there's a ton of great character growth (Cody particularly. He totally transformed from creepy-Gwen-stalker to a guy who, in my opinion, became the strongest character. He should have won.) After TDWT, I've only watched the newer seasons once each, so I'm not going to give my opinions on those quite yet.

House of Anubis: From the moment I saw an episode of HOA, I knew that it was going to be a show I followed until the end. There's something about mysteries and hidden life shows that just draw me in. HOA was pretty much everything I could have dreamed of as an 11 year old- British people, cute showmances, and a mystery that even I couldn't figure out until the last episode. HOA was also the fandom to get me into fanfiction writing, so I have a lot of thanks to give it. Seasons 1 and 2 were both amazing. Though the Fabina breakup in S2 broke my heart as well, the character developments we saw really transformed the show. I was so glad to see Nina taking a step away from this "mary sue" personality she was given, to show some actual anger and deceit this season. Patricia was finally shown to be not just a cold-hearted "goth girl", instead showing off her intelligence and wit.
