I am a professional writer who writes when paid and/or when inspired (both at the same time are the ideal, but it doesn't always happen). I find writing fan fiction kicks my imagination into gear for original stories - like training for a marathon. I'm thinking about breaking into the world of paid fiction, but at the moment I'm too lazy to get an agent. My laziness is your gain.

My genre is romantic comedy. Even if I set out to write something different (sci-fi, fantasy, tragic drama), it takes a romantic/comedic twist. It adds realism to the story and makes characters more three-dimensional and relatable. The genre is not as easy to write as you'd think; the humor has to be subtle and the character quirks believable. Many writers try - most fail. (That's why there are so many horrible romantic comedy movies.) Hopefully you think I'm one of the winners.
