I'm not much for profiles, but I think it's important to let everyone know who I am. I've wanted to be a writer since I was 8 years old, and though that dream has at times been dismissed, it has never been forgotten. I plan to make a name for myself someday. I enjoy writing poetry most, as it is more passionate than storytelling. But I do excel in prose and short stories, too. I'm working on the idea of writing a novel. Obviously, I have been inspired to join this site with the hopes of successfully completing some meaningful fan-fiction. My biggest influences are musical artists, movies, video games, and of course, books. My favourite musical artist is, by far, Gackt. My favourite movies include childhood classics like The Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, The Neverending Story, Dark Crystal, and Labyrinth, as well as comedies such as Happy Gilmore and Wayne's World, and others including Star Trek, The Orphanage, Pan's Labyrinth, La Vita รจ Bella, The Sixth Sense, It's a Wonderful Life, Orphan, and anything based on Steven King's works. My favourite video games are Xenosaga, Shadow of the Colossus, Okami, The World Ends With You, and soon enough, FFXIII will probably become a part of this list. Currently, my favourite books are the Deepgate series by Alan Campbell. Edgar Allan Poe is my favourite poet, and in some cases, my favourite author. If you haven't already noticed, I have a real fascination with the genres of fantasy, science fiction, and horror, but only if they are incorporated into emotionally and philosophically satisfying works. After all, writing is supposed to be the exploration of the human condition. I have been called an elitist fuck, which I can only assume means that I appear arrogant to the naked eye. I find it rather amusing that I would be called this, actually. True, I think highly of myself. But I am willing to treat others respectfully, given that they have respect for me as well. Just don't push my buttons, children. I am not the most forgiving recipient of insult. I will try my best to remain mysterious through the Internet, as always. So long as you can tolerate my self-loving writing personality, I believe that we will be good friends. |
