Having a friend, who you've only communicated with through an anonymous email address has its benefits. It can be more comfortable to tell them your fears and dreams than it would be to someone you actually see regularly.

Leonard's motor functions are coming and going and is in the hospital often. Penny has a lot of time remembering their lives together as she has to wait helplessly for the doctors to figure out what's wrong. Future fic, focusing on memories of our favorite couple.

This story starts at the end of season six. Leonard isn't going on a North Sea expedition, but one that brings him to the South Pacific. Things happen that change the lives of Leonard and Penny in a dramatic way.
