The Vex invasion had been thwarted but battle against the Darkness still wages on as its forces work to overthrow the Light from either behind the scenes or out in the open. Remnant faced a major change to its future as the Last City is plagued by the mistakes of its past.

Commander Shepard won her war, defeating the Reapers. But after saving her cycle from certain extinction by firing the Crucible, she dies. Only to awake reborn in a new time and place. With only vague memories of her past, no one to rely on but her Ghost and alien enemies around every corner, it will be a challenge to just survive.
