The scary thing is, when you've been stuck in a video game for long enough, it's Earth that starts looking like a dream. But I know it's not. I have to get back home...no matter how impossible it may seem. Self-insert.

It's a weird sensation to fall asleep in California one day and wake up in Ylisse at the same time. Apparently my name is now Shanzira, and I'm trying not to die here. Came pretty close already. I need to brush up on my knowledge of this game; it's been two years since it came out, and being in college and all, I've had my hands full, what with animating. Robin, don't let me die!

Short bits of randomness from Coeur Al'Aran's story "Professor Arc," which has Jaune as a professor of Beacon Academy. Non-canon to that story, of course, but on the plus side, this story is recommended by four out of five doctors as a good source of your daily intake of craziness.

One by one, I witness the fall of myths, of legends, of gods. As the world mourns and falls apart, I can't help but wonder if I'm the cause or the coincidence.

When Elsa "let it go" and accepted her magic, she hadn't been aware she could bring snowmen to life. She wasn't prepared for Mary, a snowwoman who isn't quite as blissfully happy as her brother Olaf. Now Elsa must deal with a clingy, angsty snowwoman, said snowwoman's boyfriend, Fritz, who's totally over his feelings for Elsa, honest, and a cult devoted to "Elsa the Snow Goddess."

With the eternal winter over, her powers under control, and the gates reopened, Elsa was ready for a long and peaceful reign over Arendelle. What she wasn't ready for was a rebellion, scalding hot chocolate, dirty rumors, illicit paintings, the philosophical ramifications of sentient snowmen, a drought, a lovestruck bodyguard, and a man-eating monster.

After an accident sends him to Ylisse, how will this new character carve out his own legend in the world of Fire Emblem: Awakening? First attempt at a first-person type of story as well as a first attempt at a self-insert. T: Violence, Language, etc.

You know what? Ever since I showed up here, I've had weird stuff happening on a timer. Every twenty minutes someone makes a dumb joke, every hour something I thought I understood changes drastically, and every month or so something goes catastrophically wrong. He's a screw-up who's failed at everything he's ever tried. She's a stunningly beautiful ruler of a sprawling kingdom who has more magical power in her left pinky than mere mortals can even fathom. And according to Princess Anna, they're the perfect match for each other. Well, if the queen's own sister thinks that, Fritz's chances with Elsa must be pretty good, right? Right?

Jaune Arc was the descendant of heroes who never had an honest chance to be a Hunter. Jaune was just a common criminal who never had a choice in the matter. Falls from grace are never elegant, and Jaune's is no different. A story told in shorts, with an emphasis on 'short.' Now complete.

Move to a new town, check. Make new friends, check. Classmates grow horns, check. Spawn a thing called a Persona, check. Get signed up for a supernatural rescue squad, check. Hisako didn't have many plans when she began the next part of her life, but she didn't appreciate having to update her checklist for it. She would have been happy forging friendships instead of social links.

It began after I got rejected by Signal again, though at the time I had no idea what was happening. Titles and levels suddenly appeared above people's heads and then weird things began to happen, as if I was in a game. And then, I realize I was in a game. Ree Majors issues a challenge to herself: get eight Unovan badges in under a year. Fifth time's the charm, right? But she's not really cut out for training, not like her boyfriend or her sister, and it's not like she can rely on anyone but herself. And her pokemon, she should probably remember that it's a team effort. So they can go on a wonderful* journey together. (*not at all)

For some people, training isn't easy. For some people, training is beyond easy. Unfortunately, for me, training is beyond hard. Double weaknesses, attacked by wild Pokemon, mistrust of trainers, and much more. I just CAN'T catch a break, can I?
