Author has written 1 story for X-overs, and Anime X-overs. Rather than a profile, here shall appear extended story synopses that will not fit within the very limited individual space provided. With that in mind: Darkness Chronicles (Ranma ½, Mamono (Devil) Hunter Yohko, Sailor Moon, BubbleGum Crisis, Dirty Pair, Project: A-ko, Slayers, Ah! Megami-sama (My Goddess), Dr. Who (Classic), Sapphire and Steel, Blake's Seven, H. P. Lovecraft) Something has gone terribly wrong! Across the unimaginable totality of existence, the base, fundamental principles that define reality have become unstable. Set against an appalling background of stark, deepening horror as physical and metaphysical laws begin to break down, a disparate company, brought together by circumstance, and exiled irrevocably by the first Reality Storm, battle with increasing hopeless desperation against the growing tide of ruin. But the Storm that granted them their unique immunity has created of them nightmare complements beyond madness, and a Qliphothic, anti-real Queen of hate and ruinous hunger for destruction, whose natural home is Oblivion, and who seeks only the wreck and unmaking of all that is existence and creation and positive reality. Can the collapse be halted and the anti-real abominations destroyed, or is all destined to fall and fail in a final, everlasting oblivion? Prologue To be written if ever I get the motivation – now very unlikely to be posted to fanfiction.net In a private maternity ward, a young woman cries out one last time, and collapses in triumph as her first son comes into the world. But invisible to all in the room, two figures watch from the shadows: a tall, green-haired woman in senshi garb, her face grim and desperate, and the exhausted, violet- haired man at her side who guards her with his last strength. But why are they there, and why do they watch the new-born child with such horror and loathing? “Sore wa himitsu desu!” Foreword A little history, a few things you might need to know, many acknowledgements and the usual boring but necessary copyright stuff. Book I: Chapter I (to be rewritten from scratch) Warning: due to a massive continuity problem precipitated by my working from memories of the Ranma Anime/Manga corrupted beyond recognition by nearly twelve years of fanfic reading and my trying to cheat by updating the 1996 version of this thing rather than simply deleting it and starting from scratch, this chapter needs desperately to be entirely rewritten. The present incarnation should be regarded with the contempt it deserves, and has been left here only so that the remainder of the story is readable. However, due to minimal interest in the story as a whole, that rewrite is unlikely now ever to be posted to fanfiction.net, and if completed, will be done so simply for my own enjoyment. Chapter II Having not long turned seventeen, Johnathan Liam O'Reilly, small, bookish, short-sighted and physically inept, lives with rich parents in idyllic surroundings in a large English country house. But Johnathan hates his life with a passion, and would give almost anything to be able to escape into the vivid worlds of which he reads, or those of his imagination. But one should be very careful for what one wishes! The reality may be terrifyingly, unimaginably more dangerous. Chapter III Galaxia has gone, and all is at peace. But an outing to a new theme-park sees the sudden reappearance of an old friend who should not remember. What is the danger of which he needs to warn them so urgently, and how is it connected to the sudden appearance and cataclysmic death of a denizen of a long-defeated kingdom? Chapter IV Portions to be updated once Ch. 1 is rewritten The collapse is upon them, and there is no more time! Desperate, the last survivors prepare to escape to the human world. Meanwhile, Johnathan wakes in a stark, terrifying place of cold and fog and whispering echoes, to find that he is not alone. But why is the girl so familiar, and is escape possible, or are they trapped in the frigid emptiness for ever? Chapter V A top-secret military project has been developing in the depths of Genom Tower, one that will make the corporation rich beyond imagining, and spell the final ruin of the Knight Sabres. But for the DA project director, the new prototypes, the first of whom he has made in the image of his lost daughter, have come to mean far more to him than weapons of power and instruments of war. Desperate to free them and stop the second half of the project even more appallingly deadly than his own, he turns to the only people he thinks might be willing to help. But amidst the betrayal and intrigue, events beyond even Quincy's formidable control begin to unfold, as the growing destabilisation begins to manifest in his world and Genom face a threat beyond even their ability for which to plan. Chapter VI With Biko's and Shiko's disappearance, Ine turns to the only one she believes may be able to help. But even should Eiko not take her and the others apart before she can explain, it becomes plain with frightening speed that the situation is utterly outside their experience. With even Green Lantern and the rest of the Alliance at a loss, Ine sees no course other than to remain at the scene through the night. But something appalling beyond nightmare stalks the darkness, and she and Eiko might never see the morning. Chapter VII With the coming of the Kingdom survivors and the destabilisation their Gate has precipitated, Genom's strategy for the evening is in disarray. Yet despite all that has been changed by the diverting of their exit into the world of BGC, some things remain inevitable. Still, events race towards a confrontation between the Knight Sabres and Zhuranovsky's nemesis, while the refugees' fate spirals horribly beyond their control, and the fractured splinters of the Gate trigger a second Storm that will see two more impossible arrivals before the coming of the dawn. Chapter VIII Nearly completed, but unlikely now ever to be posted to fanfiction.net Note: Due to minimal interest, it is unlikely that further chapters of Darkness Chronicles will be posted to fanfiction.net, although I shall continue to work on the tale for my own enjoyment when the mood takes me. The story may appear also in more complete form on the SailorMoon Expanded site in the Non-SME section at some stage. |
