Five years following Kai's spell, Bonnie left Mystic Falls along with the guilty and confusing feelings for her 'new best friend' Damon Salvatore. She is now living a supernatural free life in Chicago, IL with a loving boyfriend and a successful career. What happens when not only, her boyfriend starts to show some familiar characteristics, but Damon decides to track her down?

This story is about Bonnie and Damon but involves a crossover between The Vampire Diaries and The Originals. Everyone's interests are aligned when Bonnie's life needs to be saved and a certain Mikaelson witch might give them the help they need. In turn, a Bennett witch might just be the answer to deal with Lucien.

"I think I know who took him. I should have realized this sooner. Baton Rouge. It's just an hour outside New Orleans". Stefan disappears from Mystic Falls in the middle of curfew and Damon tries to find him with the help of his friends.

With Stefan and Damon in the Phoenix Stone, Caroline grabs Bonnie and Valerie and heads to New Orleans for help against Julian. But unexpectedly gets roped into a conspiracy against the Originals and is asked to help Cami get through her transition.
