![]() Author has written 2 stories for NCIS. Welcome! So, I guess you want to know a little more? Well, here goes... Twenty-something student, expert procrastinator, deep thinker, eclectic. I wish it was socially acceptable to behave like the fabulous Miranda Hart. My philosophy for life? If you’ve done enough to get where you want to be, there’s no point wasting time on going the extra mile – enjoy life instead :) Currently watching: NCIS, Castle, Person of Interest, Doctor Who, Call the Midwife, Game of Thrones. I have an impressive collection of ships, but only two are really worth a mention: Jibbs. I find the whole ‘I love you but won’t tell you’ relationship they had to be quite intriguing and just that little bit infuriating! Needless to say, I was gutted when I watched Judgment Day. Jill and Gordon. Have shipped them since before I knew what shipping was. My OTP forever and always. It’s true what they say – you never forget your first love. And I will never forgive ITV for cancelling the show when the last episode left Gordon half dead on the operating table with a pair of scissors stuck in his chest. (Why do all my ships seem to meet a sticky end?!) I could quite gladly live in the theatre. There’s nothing quite like a good show, is there? Pity it’s so damned expensive. When it comes to books, I’m a bit of a hoarder. It’s one of the many traits I’m glad I inherited from my Grandfather :) I’m currently chopping and changing between Tess Gerritsen’s ‘Body Double’, ‘The Once and Future King’ by T. H. White, and Ian McEwan’s ‘Solar’. Any recommendations will be gladly received :) Some of my favourite things: Winter. The smell of rain on hot tarmac. Caitlin Moran. Tommy and Tuppence. Harry Potter. People watching. Julie and Carol at Carnegie Hall. Hiking. Long car journeys. Independence. Drawing. Rum and Coke. Kindness. Noel Coward. Romance. Phone calls home. Jerry Herman. Laughing. John Betjeman. Doc Martens. Gene Kelly. Wicked. Angela Lansbury. Fireworks. Al Hirchfeld. Beaches on a rainy day. Henry Holland. The Hunger Games. Lerner and Loewe. Glass bottom boats. Donald Brooks' dresses. Biographies. Travelling. – to name a few :) “When you get to the end of the rope, tie a knot and hang on.” – F. D. Roosevelt The best advice anyone could ever give. The ride turned out to be quite fun ;) Currently working on a Jill and Gordon multi-chapter fic featuring heaps of angst, a bunker from the Great War, and a few fluffy moments. “You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.” – Mae West. “I am an anarchist, like every other sensible person.” – Merlin, in T. H. White’s The Once and Future King “If you start taking things too seriously, just remember that we are talking monkeys on an organic spaceship floating though the universe.” “You will never decide what you want until you decide who you are.” – Noel Coward in the film Star! “Never argue with idiots, they just pull you down to their level and beat you with experience.” – Mark Twain. “You hold the soul that talks to me although our conversation be as wordless as the windy sky.” – John Betjeman. "In any case, we had a devilish good time." - Comte Fleury English is not my first language and, although I'm fairly fluent in it, sometimes things can get a little mangled in translation! Any pointers regarding language are very welcome as I’m trying to get things up to scratch for my university essays this year – it's been over three years since I had to write anything in English so it's a little rusty! |
