About me:
...a dusty cookie--yeah, right lol ...j/k... yeah, I am 55 but the grey matter is young always learning--feed the grey matter constantly...this fine wine is still bubbly, curious and a bit of larceny in my heart lol... I am an optimist to a fault because I usually try and find the good in everyone though I have found through my long life that some just don't warrant giving multiple chances to--better to walk on and leave them to their gutter... tsk tsk--can't save everyone
Who I'd like to meet:
...Top of my list would be Matt & Jeff Hardy (Beth, too), The Legend, The Hardy Show cast (would love to attend a Matt NYE bash and see if I get clubbed lol), most of the WWE superstars and Divas, George Clooney, Barack & Michelle Obama, NASCAR drivers (all of them)...the list grows...I suppose just about anyone that happens to cross my path except if they are a maniacal serial killer lol ...ooh scary...thank God for concealed weapons laws lol
General Info:
...I love all forms of art and artistic expression (that is one reason I think Jeff Hardy rocks--love his imag-i-nation)...voracious reader/historical fiction, Internet what-not, blogs, news...building daydreams until they morph into reality...NASCAR is a huge passion--just love going to races...WWE--damn--I watched wrestling as a young girl and got disenchanted along the way, my present hubby re-introduced me and when I saw Jeff Hardy jump on that turnstile post when he got into the ring I was instantly mezmerized and it was on--it was like he would takeoff and soar around the arena (and I think he did in his mind)--really miss him on wwe but understand why he had to leave for awhile--just not the same without him--might be a bit better if wwe would give Matt more play time--f-ing jholes...jigsaw puzzles...crossword puzzles...
Music:
...love all sorts of music from heavy rock to grunge to classical to bluegrass to operatic...I try to listen to rap or whatever it is called but hubby hates it with a passion--calls it jungle music lol I am NOT a huge fan of country music--just has to be the right song (it mostly seems waahh mf waahh lol)..I do like cowboys though (ye-ha...I know this guy-he drives a truck-he ain't too smart-but he sure can drive lmao)
Movies:
...anything odd and off the mainstream mostly...200 Motels, Pink Flamingos...or just quirky, Modern Problems, Sid & Nancy...love scary movies...hubby and I love watching thriller, action movies when he's in the mood for one (he is not a big movie fan because it requires dedicating time to sit and watch--it is like "burning daylight" to him--he is such a Virgo lol)
Television:
...Antiques Roadshow, WWE RAW and SMACKDOWN, Law & Order SVU, PBS: Frontline, NOW & Bill Moyers, Gwen Ifill, Austin City Lilmits, NASCAR racing: Camping World Truck Series, Nationwide Series, Sprint Cup, ECW sometimes, random HGTV shows, The Hardy Show (best little show not on tv--hilarious hours of viewing, gotta order season 6 & 7, waiting for Jeff Hardy's reality series to begin--loved watching the "behind the scenes" on the Internet)...COPS (funny to watch the stupid people they pull over lol)...Cheaters (funny, funny, funny--serves them lyin' rat bastids right to be exposed on national tv)...
Books:
...Mostly historical fiction, though love sci fi and murder mysteries, biographies, books of art, books about architecture
Heroes/People I Admire:
...My Mother & Daddy, Patsy & Warren Ross--Daddy was a coal miner who left Kentucky after he returned home from Europe in WWII and travelled 1000 miles to Texas where he met & married my Mama who was working as a secretary in the courthouse in Fort Worth lol (LOVE true-love stories between people, especially famous people whom seem to not be able to hold onto the simple happiness of a true love instead choosing to opt for the current & temporary glamour of someone whose heart can never be owned due to self-absorbtion)
My Gory Details lol:
Marital Status:
Yep--member of the ball and chain club lol Married to my present hub for almost 4 years. First marriage lasted 24--it just stopped working and it was best for us to go our separate ways.
Orientation:
Straight but gay friendly as I have several very gay friends--I do admire the beauty of women though (because I am an artist)
Hometown:
Born in Fort Worth, TX--loved growing up there. Live in a burgh (Cedar Park) outside of Austin (live music capital of the world)...Texas rules!
Religion:
Raised Christian but have major problems with organized religion and those people who profess to be Christian and do NOT act it (Jesus is writing it all down dumbasses) - I am very spiritual and have an affinity for pagan/wiccan doctrines--my present hubby and I were handfasted years before we actually tied the knot
Zodiac Sign:
Libra--supposedly was born 2 weeks late which would have made me a Virgo, but I am married to one and we are nothing alike on most levels lol opposites do attract oohh yeah
Smoke / Drink:
No to smoking--cardiologist would kick my ass if I started back (and he is damn good-looking/don't want to piss him off lol)--sure did enjoy it though--especially when having a drink or a beer/ Yes to drinking but I rarely drink--hub is sober (20 years) and I hate drinking by myself--and, I find the older I get the longer it takes to recover after a day or night of partying like that. On a side note: I smoked pot for many years and still will when the opportunity avails itself. Other recreational drugs were taken as well: LSD, Coke, speed, psillocybin mushrooms (cleanest high I ever had), peyote (intense high but taste is sooooo bitter). When "designer" drugs started to appear in the 80's, I had nothing to do with them--why fix something if it ain't broke lol--so no ecstacy, crack coke, crystal meth--people really fry their brains with that shit...I did try needles once and it was a great high--I decided once would be enough becuase I knew I would be tempted to try heroin
Children:
Love kids, but not for me (nope, the nursery is permanently closed--open for recreational use only lol), both of my husbands each have a daughter, my first step-daughter is the only thing I kept from that marriage and she has a wonderful husband and two teenage boys--love them all so much. The second step-daughter just graduated from Cal State Long Beach--she is gorgeous, smart and has that sense of larceny in her heart like me lol girls rule!
Motto:
Ah the tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive
