Kensi backs out of the trip to Mammoth with Deeks, among other things, which sets a string of events in motion that will eventually lead them right back to each other.

When Kensi doesn't show up for work, Deeks goes to check on her, but isn't prepared for what he finds. What has happened to Kensi, and is she going to be ok? Complete.

The LAPD shows up needing Deeks aka Max for a new undercover mission. Only this time he needs a partner in the mission. What will happen when Kensi and Deeks get sucked into the LAPD mission? Will things go smoothly? Not likely... (Densi)

The team rush to Kensi's aid in Afghanistan and what they discover is something that sends Deeks's world tumbling down around him. After the mission is over Deeks is hurt and angry.
