Hello there!

I am Archodus Vaxal, (pronounced: arr-koe-duss) but you can just call me "Archo'", or "'Vax". I'm also known as... "The Archivist", "The Advisor", "The Explainer", and "The Canonist"… No, I don't call myself those things for no reason.

As a heads-up:

--The reviews section is not just for reviews, feel free to comment, compliment, correct, or even insult me! ALL reader input is read, re-read, and accepted.

--ALWAYS read the notes that I leave at the beginning and ends of chapters. They are there to help add context and/or clarification to the story.

--Let it be known that I will NEVER let a story, or this profile drop dead! I'm sick of people always leaving a story to hang there like an appendix when their readers want to read the next bloody chapter! It happened with IluthraDanar, but it will NOT HAPPEN HERE! Just know, that no matter what, I will always update. It just may take a week or two. Or months. Maybe a year, at most. I will never make excuses or empty promises about when I update stories. Thus, I want to make it clear now. You can complain about how long something is taking, but I won't listen to you if you start to panic and act like it's the end of the bloody world. Most people are pretty good about that, so I'm not very worried.

--The ratings of my stories will fluctuate anywhere from T to M (thus, I rate them as M just in case), so if you're under 14 years old, bugger off. Although, I doubt that any child could find this site, anyway. So, if you're easily offended, and/or disturbed by whatever "T" and "M" entails, then you shouldn't even be on this site, in the first place. Because if you DID NOT expect to find profanity, suggestiveness, violence, or etc. on a website that is titled "FanFiction" then I think that your perceptions of the world may be a bit skewed.

Here's some stuff about me...

Straight male- as cis as one can get. Though, I hate that term ("cis") because the people who often use it, unironically, do so in a derogatory manner and piss me off, something fierce.

Protestant— not with any particular sect. Never been raised to believe in any specific denomination. All I know is: I find the Catholic church/Islam dubious. I may look into Eastern Orthodox, though. Judaism... don't really care that much about it.

Nationality: Englench (half English, half French, can't find another word for it. And no it isn't "mutt", or "biracial", since neither of those nationalities are considered separate ethnicities. I mean... yeah, there are multiple "splinters" of caucasian— the average Russian guy is always going to be different than the average French guy, but beyond that, not really).

Political views? None that align with any specific Party or ideology. I don't subscribe to any real ideology, per se, but rather, a certain philosophy. I'm a bit of a mixed bag... and something alien to most political circles, entirely.

If you recognize the word "gynocentrism", and hate everything to do with it, then you and I are probably very alike— in which case: welcome, brother. If you're actually a "sister"... I don't know what to say to you. If you looked up that word out of ignorance, then came back confused/angry at me, then you and I are probably very different— in which case: there's the door.

Jokes:

There's nothing wrong with talking to an inanimate object- it's when the object starts talking back that you know there's a problem.

There's nothing wrong with talking to yourself, aloud, when you're alone. It's when you start talking to other people while you're all by yourself, that you know something's off.

A man walks into a bar, and the bartender suggests the nights' special, a drink called "The Grasshopper". Having nothing else to do, the man buys a few Grasshoppers. Later that night, the man is walking home when he sees a grasshopper perched on a twig, on the sidewalk. Slightly inebriated, the man stops, looks down at the grasshopper, and says: "you know there's a drink named after you?". The grasshopper looks up, and says: "you mean there's a drink named 'Bob'?".

How do you break a polygraph machine? You hook it up to a politician.

Did you hear about the one with the scarecrow who won an award? He was OUT-STANDING in his FIELD.

What did the bird say to the crocodile? "Why the long face?".

What do you get when you mix a snake, with a porcupine? A barbed wire.

You know how Superman has X-Ray vision that lets him see through anything but lead? Hhmmm. Makes you wonder how many of his female friends he's given breast cancer, over the years.

Never trust atoms. They make up everything.

What does a skeleton order at a pub? A beer and a mop.

A snail wins the lottery and the first thing he buys is a Rolls Royce. He is disappointed when he drives down the road, as people just point, laugh and say "look at that silly snail in a Rolls Royce". He takes his Rolls Royce into a garage and says to the owner "paint my car bright yellow and put a big red 'S' on each side as well as the roof". The garage owner looks very puzzled scratches his head and asks the snail why he wants his car painted in such an unusual manner. The snail says "when I drive down the road I want people to look in wonder and say... look at that S car go".

Five Frenchmen are all working for the same corporation, and are being sent on a business trip. As they're packing their things in a hotel room at around three in the afternoon, the most senior of group estimates that their flight to England is at nine o'clock, and that the drive to the airport will take four hours. He says to everyone: "we will leave, immediately". He's about to leave the room when one of his colleagues asks, "what about dinner?". He stops, thinks for a moment... and finally declares: "we leave in five hours".

Satan himself manifests in a lawyer's office. The devil says to the lawyer, "how about a deal? For the rest of your career, I will make sure that you win every case. Your clients will beg for your help, your opponents will recuse themselves from the proceedings the moment they see your name, and your reputation and success will reach heights never seen, before. However, in exchange, you must give to me your soul, the souls of all of your family-members, the souls of your pets, the souls of everyone you work with, and every week, you must sacrifice a newborn puppy in my name and humiliate yourself by performing a traditional Native-American rain-dance in front of an audience of your peers. What say you?". The lawyer thinks, looks over his papers, checks his financial information, and sips his coffee. After a few moments of intense deliberation, the lawyer finally asks Satan: "I'm sorry, I'm a bit tired, this morning— what's the catch?".

A lawyer and his two secretaries receive a lamp in the mail-address of their office-building. So, of course, one of them jokingly rubs it three times, and a magical genie pops out. The genie says to them: "I will grant each of you one wish". He points to the first secretary to prompt him, and the secretary said: "I want to be ten years younger, in the Bahamas, with my wife!". The genie snapped his fingers, and the secretary disappeared. The genie turned to the next secretary, and she said to it: "I want to be in a mansion in New Hampshire with five kids and ten million dollars!". The genie snapped his fingers, and she disappeared. The genie then turned to the lawyer, and asked him "what of you, then, sir?". The lawyer looked to the genie, and said: "I want those two back in the office in ten minutes!".

“At birth, you are supple and soft. At death, you are stiff and hard. Grass and trees are pliant and tender when living, but they are dry and brittle when dead. “If the people do not fear death, of what use is it to threaten them with death? "Of all the tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under the omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep- his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven, yet at the same time, likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very "kindness" stings with intolerable insult. To be "cured" against one's will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals —C.S. Lewis".

"We are not living in a world where all roads are radii of a circle and where all, if followed long enough, will therefore draw gradually nearer and finally meet at the centre: rather, in a world where every road, after a few miles, forks into two, and each of those into two again, and at each fork, you must make a decision —C.S. Lewis".

"The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure that you seek”.

"Do not allow your loyalty to become your slavery. The people in your circle are not always in your corner".

"Think of what is right and true. Your ideals will not always line up with reality. Allowing your ideals to interfere with objective reality, what is true right before your eyes, is what blinded you, before. Always keep your ideals in mind, but do not let them have power over you as they once did. Adapt and grow but always keep the truth in front of you”.

"Practice and cultivate the science. In the case of Miyamoto Musashi, his was Martial Science. In the case of Ludwig van Beethoven, his was Musical Science. In the case of William Shakespear, his was Theatrical Science. Whatever your craft is: practice it everyday and become an expert in it. If you are free of the burdens of marriage and children, you should put the energy and resources saved to good use”.

"Become acquainted with the arts. Take your craft and become obsessed with it. Take the energy you once gave to pursuing the interests of others and channel it into yourself. Learn the inner workings of every facet of what you truly want to do with your life- and if you haven’t found it, yet, dedicate yourself to finding it”.

"Know the principles of the crafts. You have to learn the how of your craft, but to have true mastery of anything, you must learn the why. Principles and ideals guide every decision. To learn these guides, you must learn your own. Once you have mastered this through meditation and reflection, navigate your field at a level reserved for the most dedicated of men”.

"Understand the harm and benefit in everything. Going your own way, without fully understanding the power and stakes of it, can be as dangerous as anything else. Evaluate all that is around you and learn to see the dangers in things that others either ignore or accept as 'necessary'. Curate your options and determine for yourself where the greatest rewards and greatest threats lie".

"Learn to see everything accurately. Looking at life with an objective perspective in mind can be difficult, at first, but it is necessary to apply it equally to everything, so that you are always looking at things honestly and accurately”.

"Become aware of what is not obvious. There is Truth hidden from you in every corner of the world, and it is up to you to find it. Lies are easy to produce and profitable for the schemer”.

"Be cautious, even in small matters. If you know the principles but fail to apply them in everyday life, you really didn’t know the principles, at all. It’s the small matters that matter the most. They prepare you for those momentous occasions wherein everything you’ve learned will be applied”.

"Do not do anything useless. A life of hedonism does not bring fulfillment. Mastery and creation bring peace and satisfaction. Pursue goals that can be worked on over a long period of time, and avoid instant gratification. Let the mindless hordes numb themselves and rot their brains. You build your reality instead of having it given to you”.

"Accept everything just the way it is. Anger and frustration comes from the desire to change things. Once you accept human nature, you can begin to let go of the disappointment you feel at the underwhelming efforts of the majority and begin to create the image of what you want to see from the world, in yourself”.

"Do not seek pleasure for its own sake. Hedonism leads nowhere. A hedonistic population is a reliable indicator for a soon-to-be-dead population, as evidenced in Ancient China, the Roman Empire, and now modern Western society. Hedonism can never be completed. It is an endless pit like depression and lust, and it will consume you if you let it”.

"Do not, under any circumstances, depend upon a partial feeling. Always follow your gut-instinct, no matter what. You are biologically hard-wired with instincts that can only be overridden by artificial ideas supplanted onto you by your surroundings. If you act on feelings that aren’t what you truly desire, you will be acting from a position of weakness. Always operate from a position of strength”.

"Think lightly of yourself and deeply of the world. Your ego is as much an obstacle to your Path as women and fools are. Humble yourself so that you can learn from your mistakes and grow. The world and all its offerings have been here long before you, and will be here long after you. You are merely a visitor, so learn as much as you can while you are passing through”.

"Be detached from desire your whole life long. You can pursue things of interest, but you must do so in a position of being independent of the outcome. If you were to put all of your metaphorical eggs in one basket, it would lead to disappoint and even ruin. Remain free from desire by having an abundance-mentality and hedging your bets. Set your goals and work towards them, but realize that you may not achieve them, or that you may find yourself lacking a purpose, should you succeed”.

"Do not regret what you have done. Whatever mistakes you made that led you on your Path were simply educational lessons on your unique course to freedom. If you relapse and make a mistake, even after learning and listening, don’t beat yourself up over it, or you’ll just repeat it, again. Learn from the experience and move forward”.

"Never be jealous. Once you have enjoyed the freedom and peace-of-mind of going your own way, separated from the need for external validation, it’s hard to feel jealously for the men still on The Plantation. You might, however, feel jealously for the easy life that women appear to lead. Never be envious of women, for they live a tortured existence of hatred and jealousy, themselves. There’s no reason to step into that arena”.

"Never let yourself be saddened by separation. If you cherish every interaction with someone and look at it from an honest perspective, you won’t mourn its absence in the future. Being attached to things or people can only bring sadness, because nothing is eternal. That doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy their company, but it does mean that you should remain pragmatic”.

"Resentment and complaint are appropriate neither for oneself or others. Doing this automatically puts you in a negative state of mind, and prevents you from seeing and accepting the truths in your environment”.

"Do not let yourself be guided by the feeling of lust or love. An obvious tip to us, now, but imagine how world-shattering this single sentence is to a man on The Plantation. If you give women the means to control you, why are you surprised when women use the tools at their disposal? Give them no power over you and you will be untouchable”.

"In all things, have no preferences. Men are creatures of adaptation, and learning to go with the flow and roll with the punches is a trait that will help you on your Path. If you are unable to operate without your desired preferences in a situation, you are not prepared for that situation. Be prepared for all situations”.

"Be indifferent to where you live. You should learn to live with less so that you can become mobile. As the world continues to decline, younger men may also have to move out of their native countries in order to thrive or avoid a draft”.

"Do not pursue the taste of good food. Food is a means to an end. A form of energy. Meat, bread, fish, water, fruit, and vegetables. It might get bland, overtime, but it’s just a way to obtain energy, anyway. Nothing more, nothing less. Food doesn't love you back. If tasty food is required by you in order to have an enriched life-experience, then you are doing something wrong”.

"Do not hold on to possessions you no longer need. Sentimentality for possessions is a natural response. A transference of emotion to an inanimate object. To those of you still holding on to possessions from an ex-girlfriend or wife: let it go and move on. You don’t need it, anymore. Your memories may fade, and the image of her in your head may become distorted, but the pain you felt will always be remembered. You don’t need possessions to remind you of that”.

"Do not act following customary beliefs. If you did what society expected of you, you would still be slaving away at a job you hate, for a woman who doesn’t love you. If you followed the sheep, you wouldn't then be able to see the cliff that the herd is blindly stumbling toward. Customs and beliefs are designed to guide large groups of people. They are incompatible with your individual Path”.

"Do not seek to collect or practice with weapons beyond what is useful. This remains the same with thoughts and feelings. Becoming attached to ideas that aren’t practical or can’t help you on your path is the road to stagnation and regression. Entertaining those ideas is a good mental exercise, but it won’t help you reach peace or fulfillment”.

"Do not fear death. You are a dead man, walking. The sooner you can come to terms with this, the sooner you can get to work and make something of yourself. Meaning and purpose are not and cannot be given to you- you have to create it for yourself”.

"Do not seek to possess either goods or fiefs in your old age. You can’t take wealth with you after death, and you can’t know when death will come. It’s good to plan for retirement, but it shouldn’t be your main motivator- like the rest who toil and give away their best years so that they can watch television in a nursing home”.

"You may abandon your body, but you must preserve your honor. Once you have become detached from results, desires, people, and life itself, you can prioritize your ideals from a position of clarity, instead of being blindly allegiant to them. Your definition of honor is not the same as society’s definition of honor. Whatever your definition is, safeguard it from those would see it corrupted”.

"Never stray from The Way. Once you have defined your Path, be honest to yourself and pursue it with the effort it deserves. Your path may shift and change as time progresses, but its core principles should remain the same. Most people never find their Path, and stumble through life in darkness. You are one of the lucky ones who have found it and can articulate it. To discover the Path, only to then walk away from it, is the greatest insult you can make against yourself”.

"Great Minds Discuss Ideas; Average Minds Discuss Events; Small Minds Discuss People".

"The lesser of two evils is still evil. Both evils are my enemy. I want both evils dead".

"We kill the mice that invade our pantries without mercy, but only idiots fear the mice, and only the contemptible hate the mice.

"When all hopes are lost, only then does reality acquire that sharp focus that defines who we are and what we have become".

"People do not change, they simply become more or less of who they truly are. Likewise, you cannot change anyone, only push them toward or away from their true selves".

"The most trustworthy opinion is the one that appears to disadvantage the person espousing it".

"Life is deadly for all of its participants. No emotion copes with it better than humor".

"Unless tempered by compassion and heart, logic leads to decisions no better than those based on anger or fear".

"Treacherous people come in two flavors: those too paranoid for their own good because they expect everyone around them to use their methods, and those not paranoid enough for their own good because they think they invented lying".

"We treasure the truth of error, that in the future, error will pass from us, and from the lives of all who come after".

"Warriors do love war; warriors do hate what it brings".

"The sum of a fight among equals, or with a superior, is to allow the other's strengths to put him where you want him".

"Not all smiles are about greetings and joy. Some smiles are in shared pain".

"If we who are honored with life do not perceive the obvious, then we are forced to live it, again: around another corner, from another angle. History surrounds us everywhere with no beginning and no obvious exit. It is not irony, but an echo".

"There is only one truth: that which was done will be done, again. For we cannot cease from creating, and the end of all our creation will be to look into a reflection and see ourselves for the first time".

"Where there is freedom, there will be war. We covet. We hate. We fight. We die. As it should be".

"Strength in conflict does not arise from niceties and never has".

"Greatness and power are often allied with defeat. It is how civilizations are shaped- some ideas prosper, other's fade. The quality of ideas has little to do with the outcome. It is personalities that matter. Pay attention to those around you, and in their actions you will see the future".

"The problem with being potential is that one contains multitudes of outcomes- candidates vying to become final personalities; and as the hours and days pass, the strongest rule for a time until toppled by others even stronger. The irony is: all of these personalities are just variations of the same core traits. Slight mutations of the same design, all fighting and deposing each other because each believes itself to be right and true. All are equally derivative and equally arrogant".

"To truly dare is to risk selflessly— not to throw your life away because you feel bereft of other options. A lack of alternatives is not a lack of cowardice, and believing it to be is no different than taking joy in being the victim. It is merely an easy short-cut to absolving oneself of blame and criticism".

"Hypocrisy is it's own collapsing mineshaft".

"The quest is the joy of it— never the finding or victory".

"You are what you dare".

"Stupidity is the conscious decision to appeal to emotion over truth".

"Every gladiator to step into the arena deserves a fair fight".

"He who is not angry when there is just cause for anger is immoral".

"We are all born ignorant, but it takes real effort to remain stupid".

"Bad soil yields no bounty".

"Only a fool lets a snake bite twice".

"A fool and his vice are seldom acquainted for long".

"The value of moving slowly is that one always clearly sees the way ahead".

"By all means, forgive your enemy; just the remember the bastard's name" —John Wayne.

"Many people are only alive because it's illegal to shoot them" —John Wayne.

"It is difficult to free a fool from the chains he reveres. You cannot educate a person who only thinks emotionally".

"If, in order to win an argument, you must silence your opposition: your ideals are flawed".

"Do not expect to build up the weak by pulling down the strong. It only results in everyone suffering".

"Great minds may think alike, but fools rarely differ".

"Feign madness but keep your balance".

"Arguing with a moron is like playing chess with a pigeon. It doesn't matter what you do or say, they'll just shit on the table and strut around as though they've won, regardless".

"Pity the puppet who ignores his strings".

"Discipline against the lesser aids in denial of the greater".

"If you find yourself having to choose between two sides of an argument, and do not know who to side with, all you need do is determine which side most commonly censors the other. Whomever uses censorship the most must become your enemy. If they had the truth on their side, after all, they wouldn't feel the need to silence their opposition".

"A tyrant is simply no more and no less than someone who is allowed to commit crimes against you. That they haven't yet is merely a consolation, not an assurance. It is enough that they could if they wanted it, to do everything in your ability to take that power from them. Only a sheep sits and waits to die simply because the butcher hasn't yet bothered to slaughter it".

"If you do not use the tools at your disposal when their use is most warranted, you may as well not have them".

"I would rather have to endure ten strikes without flinching, than be able to dodge twenty of them, only to have the twenty-first bring me down".

"If you find a mouse in your pantry, burning down the house is not a wise response".

"If all you do is kick a dog in the face, over and over and over and over, again: you forfeit the right to be surprised when the dog inevitably bites you".

"Suffering is the seed of strength".

"Never be defined by your past. It was merely a lesson, not a life-sentence".

"Censorship is telling a man he can't have steak just because a baby can't chew it" —Mark Twain.

"Pride is like a rosebush. Cherish it, nurture it, and protect it when you must, but never throw yourself into it's thorns. Getting pulled out of it causes more pain than entering or laying in it".

"When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth and tell the whole world: no, you move" —Mark Twain.

"An imbecile habit has arisen in modern controversy of saying that such and such creed can be held in one age but cannot be held in another. Some dogma, we are told, was credible in the twelfth century but not credible in the twentieth. You might as well say that a certain philosophy can be believed on Mondays, but cannot be believed on Tuesdays" —G.K. Chesterton.

"No one is born hating one another. One must be taught to hate. It is when hatred is learned on one's own time that it might be justified".

"Arrogance, unchecked, becomes a cancer".

"If, in order to be virtuous, I had to be a slave, I would take pride in being evil".

"Evil is evil. Lesser, greater, middling— it makes no difference. The degree is arbitrary. The definition is blurred. If I'm to choose between one evil and another: I'd rather not choose, at all".

"You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him".

"'Democracy' is just a nice word for 'mob rule'".

"Freedom and equality are mutually exclusive things. The more that you have of one, the less you can have of the other. The more free people are, the less equal they will become, as the cream of the crop are allowed to rise above. The more equal people are, the less free they are to succeed on their true merits, as in order to be equal, natural talent and varying work-ethic must be removed or artificially controlled. You can live free, and be free to fail, in turn; or you can be equal, and never be able to excel beyond others, because your exceptionalism is deemed a threat or 'unfair'. It is the difference between individualism and collectivism. Competition by universal self-reliance, or conformity by collective judgement. Little more than that".

"Man is born free, but everywhere: he is in chains" —Jean-Jacques Rousseau.

"If the enemy is strong, you must show the enemy that your strength is limitless. If the enemy is cruel, you must prove to the enemy that your cruelty knows no bounds. And if the enemy is terrifying, you must teach the enemy that you are the one who needs to be feared".

"Do not base your decisions on your ideals. You will only limit yourself. Use logic to determine what is physically possible, determine the end results of each physically possible option, and then use your ideals as a filter to choose the least shitty outcome".

Well, that's all you need to know!

Enjoy my stuff!
