Long time lurker and finally made an account.

Some fandoms I enjoy: South Park, Final Fantasy X/X-2, Kill Bill, decent Potterfics, LotR, Sherlock!!!, and a bunch of other random stuff.

I also read a whole freaking lot. Fiction, non-fiction, mysteries, history, horror, suspense, theology, magazines, newspapers, fanfics, labels on bottles... whatever.

ON WRITING: Basically I'm a nerdy, history loving, art appreciating pragmatist with a hidden romantic side.

THE OC QUESTION: Yes. I support OCs and OC fics. I think they're fun and interesting to read. You can tell a lot about an author by the kind of character she/he creates and how they interact with the world. I read lots of canon only fic, but I don't think OC's are the bane of fandom - no matter how blatant the self-insertion. I've been reading fanfic so long, that Mary Sues no longer make me mad - they just make me giggle.

SLASH? IN MY FANFIC?!: Not likely. I've been known to write semi-slash oneshots on request for some of my friends. Otherwise, I don't write or read much slash. I don't mind if you do though. I don't hate on anyone's schtick, baby.

After taking a long hiatus from FFN due to unnecessary amounts of drama that exploded in the South Park fandom, I'm sort of back and ready to branch out a bit.
