UPDATES!!!

1/8/18: Hi, everyone. Welcome to a new year! I've been incredibly busy since finishing Screw Fate. After a year off from school during which I became practically a full time reporter for a local newspaper and got my head on straight, I finally returned back to school last fall. School has been crazy, as usual, but I've also been feeling a lot better and more sure about myself both in my writing and my personal life. It's been a lot of fun and I've grown a lot at my new school and have really come to find my place this time around. So, for this year I've made myself a New Year's resolution to not worry so much and just simply write more. And part of that resolution is my goal to work on three specific projects for this year: 1) I want to look at Hope Lost and see if I can find the inspiration to finally finish that story, and if I can't find it then to finally deem the project abandoned; 2) Next, I want to edit and smooth out certain scenes to be clearer and more fleshed out, and finally post the updated Screw Fate on AO3 with potentially more scenes (I've always wanted to write an M rated version with serious smut) and maybe even entire new chapters to expand the plot and flesh out the relationship between Mordred and Merlin more (the original will stay here on FF.net, since I am still very proud of it and want to keep the reminder of my first finished project, but I also feel like there is more I could have done with that story); and 3) Outline and flesh out the sequel to Screw Fate, Changing Destiny, and be prepared to write the whole story during NaNoWriMo this year. So, you guys should see an Author's Note on Hope Lost declaring the project abandoned or a new chapter sometime in the next two weeks. I plan to spend some time debating whether it's possible for me to actually finish it or not, but I do want to make a decision before I go back to school for spring semester. I hope to have a great writing year this year, and I wish everyone the best in reaching their own goals!

4/17/17: Oh my god. Literally almost a year later and I finally can official say that Screw Fate is finished. Dx It took a lot of blood, sweat, and tears (no really, I totally cried after writing the last chapter, I was so damn happy), but I did in fact finally finish one of stories. Now all that is left is to finish Hope Lost, which I will be working on in the coming weeks. Thank you to everyone who's been patient and so very supportive.

4/25/16: Wow, it's been a really long time since I've been on here. I'd just like to say that I've been keeping an eye on the site and my stories and I love, love all the great support I still get on my work. And I absolutely promise that I plan to finish both stories, even if it kills me. College has just been kicking my ass and I've been suffering from severe insomnia that has made it difficult to do much thinking. But, I'm taking a year off from college to get my head on straight and I hope that I'll also be able to get my creative juices flowing and finally produce the endings for both Hope Lost and Screw Fate. Thanks again everyone for the patience and the amazing support, you have no idea how happy it makes me every time I check my email and find a review on one of my stories waiting for me.

Hope Lost: {Merlin has had enough. Unappreciated, ignored, and now left for dead in the middle of the Darkling Woods, he's lost every ounce of hope he had. Feeling like he has nothing left to lose, Emrys has come out to play. All of Camelot will crumble under his rage. Is it too late for Merlin to be saved?} This story is set during Season 5 around the time of the Disir incident. Anyways, has anyone else noticed how awful Merlin is treated? I mean, everyone else has gained rank and respect and what not and Merlin is still treated like trash. So I wrote this story to show what happens when Merlin loses all the blind hope that he's been holding on to the last decade of his life. Semi Dark!Merlin, but not entirely. Rated T.

Screw Fate: {Merlin has grown frustrated. His destiny is failing, Morgana still lives, and Mordred's recent resurrection by the Disir sets in motion Mordred's fate. To add more fuel to the fire, Merlin can't seem to ignore the intense attraction he has for the Druid boy. With Arthur's hate of magic on one side, and Merlin's growing relationship with Mordred on the other, Merlin's so screwed.} This story is set during Season 5 after the Disir incident. It's cannon divergent from that point, and it's my Merlin happy ending! It's dramatic and romantic, and got it's fair share of fluffy bits as well. About Me:

Hi, I'm Shirley!!! I was introduced to this site through deviantart.com (which I have an account with the same name as this one) and a friend from Subeta who suggested I check out this site. I love writing and drawing, so I figured both this site and deviantart.com would mesh perfectly. I'm working on an original novel right now, so any updates will either be really slow or really fast depending on how much I work on my own novel XD. Oh, and just to know a little about me, I'm a young adult college student who's struggling to decide on a major even though she's coming into her junior year. I'm 6'1" (yes, I'm insanely tall) and completely judgement-free. I respect everyone's believes and opinions as long as they're not harmful to others. I don't like homophobes if they're rude or violent to gays, lesbians, or bisexuals. And I don't like people that use religion to victimize other people, but otherwise I don't care. I have friends that are furries, Christians, Mormons, lesbians, bisexual, atheist, and etc. I don't judge you as long as you don't try to judge me or others. It's simple as that.

My Opinion on Shipping!:

I'll read anything and everything, so I don't really mind shippers. Actually, the majority of what I read is ship stories so I adore good ship stories. And I understand there are people that get frustrated with shippers and what-not and there are some that purely dislike anything written with ships. And sometimes I have to agree with the ship-haters because of the LACK OF LABELS! If it's an non-cannon shipping, male/male, or female/female then I believe you should warn readers what they're going to get into. I don't think it takes too much effort to just throw in a simple M/M, F/F, (character)/(character), or (character)/OC label to warn readers before they enter. Some people prefer not to be mentally scarred by stumbling onto something they never really wanted to read because of lack of labels.

Now, to the ships that I enjoy reading, well like I said; I'll read anything. M/M, F/F, or normal, doesn't matter to me as long as they have natural chemistry. I hate forced relationships that are completely out of character.
