I most enjoy Military History, especially Ancient/Classical and Medieval Warfare. Like most Americans, though (or so the world says), I have really grown to enjoy piecing together the global connections of peoples and societies that studying Cultural History affords us.

Alexander is my boy. If the world's greatest generals, warriors, and battlefield commanders were to simultaneously take part in chess matches and gladiatorial combat, all the while competing in an uproarious drinking contest...Alexander would come out on top every time.
