"Writing is making sense of life. You work your whole life and perhaps you've made sense of one small area." - Nadine Gordimer

Here I am, writing to make sense of life.

It's nice to meet you, thank your for clicking on my profile. I'm assuming that now you want to know a little bit about myself. You can call me Cait. I'm female. This is my first experience with anything fan fiction and am now basically in love. I live in Kentucky and no I am not a redneck or hillbilly. I'm currently in college and have no clue where my future is going, so I'm focusing on the road before me and not looking ahead. I'm a nerd, a dork, headstrong, goofy, happy, gorgeous, love my friends, am quick to fight, hard to live with, easily forgive not forget, funny, love to laugh, silly, Loud, insecure, beautiful, not confident, geeky, touchy feelie, bitter, wonderful, resentful, opinionated and REAL!

Likes = laughing with my friends, rainy days, brand new crayons, cuddling in bed, crisp cotton sheets, the way babies smell, the funny things kids say, the smell of laundry, driving at twilight, relaxing in nature, looking at the stars, watching movies, quotes, boardgames, music, reading, bonfires, the cold side of the pillow and coffee.

Dislikes= spiders or bugs in general, the flu, the smell of burnt popcorn, bruised bananas, scary movies, pointless classes and early mornings.

Reading and books are the sunshine and air of my world. I read to simply read. Yes I analyze and critique and sometimes whip out my pen to jot notes in the margins but most of the time I'm happy to simply shut out reality and escape in to a world different than my own. My motto is that I'll read anytime once. But my favorites are books that transport you, either to another time or a place drastically different than your own or a situation so different from any you've encountered. To list the books and authors I love would take to long and give me a headache in the process so I'll simple put a few. Harry Potter, Twilight (not for its literacy genius which it lacks but for the storyline), Jane Austen, The time travelers wife, Julia Quinn, Judith McNaught, Julie Garwood, The Italian, The Things They Carried, A Tale of Two Cities, Crime and Punishment, Lord of the Rings, Poe, Shakespeare and Atonement.

Despite my varied and hazardous love for literature, I mainly read stories from Harry Potter, Pride and Prejudice, Twilight and whatever catches my eye. I am a female, thus a die hard romantic and I've dealt with enough angst in my life to avoid in fiction. In terms of pairings, I'm open to most others besides the original author intended ones. I don't have anything against slash, but it's not my cup of tea. Other than that I'm open to whatever your imagination gives you.

I've never written outside of the classroom, so any advice and encouragement that you see fit to bestow upon me please do not hesitate! :)

I don't know what kinds of stories my brain will think up to write, but once they are concrete enough to put pen to paper I'll post them up here.

Thanks for your time!!!
