![]() Author has written 1 story for Vampire Knight. HI THERE! Okay so I suuppppooooossse this is where I'm supposed to share a little info on meself. Well that won't be too difficult. Okeh, so first things first, I don't update often... I know, now I just lost like, 90 of all the readers I'll ever get. BOOHOO! I'm sorry I can' t update often, but I do have a legitimate reason!! ... I'm in my first year of University... AH! Yes I know, what a terrifying thought... It scares my quite a bit as well. But yes, I do apologize but unless it's during the holidays, I cannot update regularily, because school work comes FIRST! Alrighty, I'm also relatively knew to writing fanfics soooo constructive critisism is GREATLY appreciated. Also, I can't spell to save me life, so please, I know it's incredibly irritating but I beg you, bear with me. MY ALTER EGO IS CHAIRMAN CROSS FROM VAMPIRE KNIGHT! He is everything I aspire to be basically. On many levels I am as ridiculous and as dramatic as he is so if I ever seem like I could be acting slightly crazy, chances are I've just made about 76 different facial expressions typing one phrase. Random of course, but that is how I am. Now some of you may be wondering what I study in university, well my wonderful little friends, I study music. That's write, it's possible to have a degree in music. Seems rather odd, I know, because music is so common, very few people in this world don't listen to it. But studying music at a university level is quite a bit different than you might expect, it's much more difficult first of all. remembers many sleepless nights With the program that I am in, I am working towards obtaining my Bachelor's degree in music with my major being performance. My instrument, well, some may find this lame, but my instrument is VOICE. LALALALALA!! I sing ALL THE FRICKING TIME! The degree is strictly classical, and yes, I did have to audition to get in to the program because it's very restricted. If any of you out there is familar with the Royal Conservatory music grading system (it may only be my fellow Canadians that know of it I'm not entirely sure) but in order to be accepted, at least a grade 9 level of performance is required. To those of you who don't know, basically you have to be able to sing something from an opera and not mess up. I could go on and on about University and music for years but I won't, because it's BORING to the rest of the world. XD Okay so here is something I will consistantly be referring to.. I AM AN OLD HAG!! DX DX DX DX D'X!! It's true, sadly enough, I'm probably older than many writers on this website... How old am I you ask? (I apologize in advance if you're my age or older and now you're insulted that I said I"m old...) I'm... well, I'm 19. Okay so it's not terribly ancient I know, but compaired to the vast majority of 15-17 year olds that write on here, I feel rather OOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLD. So I will joke about that rather frequently. Also, any characters that I make up, will always be my age or older for that reason, because I feel that my depiction of emotions and thought processes will be much more accurate considering I feel like I am now at a stage in my life where I don't think like a child anymore. Of course I know being able to write about characters that are any age would allow me to become a better writer but that's just not where I'm at yet. GOT IT?! Okay, so I guess I can tell you what I look like... I'm short, ish, 5'4, a have a teeny tiny bone frame so I'm quite skinny. IT'S JUST HOW I AM PLEASE DON'T HATE ME!! I'm pale, because I'm white. German and Russian background, mostly German though. My eyes are a medium blue ish grey. My hair is black and to my chin, layered with side bangs. That's it. Incase you didn't realize this by my choice of degree, I am musician. I sing classical music and I have multiple songs in my repetoire that I would like to say I have mastered. Now as I work on my degree I'm learning many new songs and am forever growing as a musician. I prefer to classify myself as a musician rather than just a singer. In my opinion there is a difference. Instrumentalist\singer= plays\sings. Musician=plays\sings, and understands the inner workings of music, knows music inside out and in depth, understands the differenct effects that different styles of music have on people. Etc. I know a thing or two about music theory too. If you've ever taken it, you know it's FUN... Sarcasm is highly evident here. Again, I'm not really a writer, I'm trying because I think it's fun. I took English IB in high school so I do know a thing or two but that's mostly about writing essays which are galaxies apart from stories. I do compose music. Sort of, but not like, dinky little songs, I prefer to compose pieces for entire orchestras. I have never composed an entire piece before, but I do have many melodies and harmonies that consistantly run through my brain. Therfore I will consistantly refer to music in my writing, it just helps me connect to it okay? Yeesh If you have any questions reguarding music please feel free to ask. I have no issues with anyone pm ing me. Or even if you just want to chat. I'd like to say I'm pretty interesting, but I have a tough time communicating that through words. It's better just to listen to my music. LATER I will post a link to my youtube account for any of my performances so you guys can have a sneak peak into what it is that I do if you care. XD But you'll be waiting for a while for my solo performance. For now it'll just be choir stuff (I sing in two) until April when I have my year end jury. Repetoire I know you probably don't care. But this is my list of rep.(Song title then composer and possibly opera if the song is from one) Done: (recently) Lascia ch'io pianga- Handel Verborgenheit-Wolf Au bord du l'eau-Faure Hark! Hark the echoing air!-Purcell Voi che sapete-Mozart=Le Nozzi di Figaro Come again-Dowland In progress: (will be updated) Le Secret-Faure Adieu-Faure Ach Ich Fuhl's-Mozart=Die Zauberflote (the Magic Flute) Ah! Toi Belle Hirondelle-Composer unknown In Der Ferne-Brahms Die Vogel-Schubert Sospiri Di Foco-Cavalli Sento Nel Core-Scarlatti CHOIR So choir is basically one of the hugest aspects of my life. So here's a little peak, if you care, of my wonderful choir singing some pieces while we were on tour recently. These sadly aren't all of the pieces, but it's a good little chunk of them. (I sing Soprano II if you're wondering XD) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuWvk_qtqzU - Miserere http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4krt73Z8aYc- Boy and a Girl (Eric Whitacre) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FN2wCUABqNg- After the War. (So pretty, this was arranged by a former member of my choir.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l27gntoewVs - Bruremarj Just a note, these aren't the best quality of sound sadly, but you get the gyst of it. :) Okay, so that's me. My music, my life. |
