The following are from Fyre's "Let Winterlight Come" Fantastic story by the way, check it out, along with a couple from Potter-Pikatu's "Harry Potter and the Demon Knights", another good read.

1. Remus and Sirius grappled for the tiny piece of paper stuck underneath the leg of a kitchen chair. "Mr. Padfoot -- Ug -- would like to tell Mr. Moony to -- oof! -- BUGGER OFF!"

2. Harry began shaking his head at his godfathers words. The boy always found it embarrassing to have anything bought for him, even after years of both his guardians trying to spoil him rotton. (Not that Remus admitted it of course; Sirius on the other hand was quite proud of the fact that he would by Harry a small country, if only he asked.)

3. ~When Harry recieves his Hogwarts letter~
"Of course," Padfoot added cheerfully as he steered his godson towards the dining room and breakfast, "if it gets dangerous, or you don't like it, or anything happens, we'll come and bring you right back home where it's SAFE!"

Moony's shoulders shrank upon hearing that pronouncement and he refrained from yanking his hair out in frustration. 'One step forward, two steps back. Gods, this is going to be one hell of a year.'

4. ~Sirius' Howler to Snape~

"...YOU WOULD TAKE OUT YOUR FRUSTRATIONS OUT ON A POOR BOY! GET OVER YOURSELF OR I WILL SEE YOU PICKLED IN YOUR ONLY POTIONS INGREDIENTS! IF YOU EVER EVEN STARE AT HARRY THE WRONG WAY, I'M GOING TO GOUGE YOUR EYES OUT WITH A SPOON! DO ANYTHING TO HARRY AGAIN AND I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN AND MAKE YOU SUFFER!!!"

5. ~ Padfoot regarding the using magic warning students get at the end of the year.~

Padfoot: "You think Harry here need protection from underage misuse of magic?! That's as ridiculous as ME needing it."

Moony: "That's hardly a compelling argument Padfoot."

6. ~Crookshanks regarding his weight with Harry and Hedwig.~

Crookshanks turned his back on them instead of commenting, then stood on all fours with his bushy tail lifted in the air and began to shake his chubby little rump at them. "Husky and lovin' it!" he declared proudly.

7. ~Harry's reaction when he finds out his stalker is now attending Hogwarts.~

Harry propped his elbows on the table and clasped his hands together, looking up at the enchanted ceiling pleadingly, "Dear God, if you're listening right now, you know I don't ask much of you, so please hear me out when I make this single request: Don't let Carmen Sandiego into Gryffindor! Now I know it's a little much, but I know if anyone can do it, you can." He paused, narrowing his eyes and lifting one fist to shake, " and lets face it, you owe me one Mister!"

8. ~Harry's reactions when Draco tells Harry to see Snape about his nightmares.~

Harry snorted. “Right,” he muttered, tucking his hands into his sleeves and hunching his shoulders defensively. “I’m sure he’s really a big teddy bear underneath that cold, sarcastic, snarky exterior. A psychotic teddy bear…like those blasted doll movies that Dudley liked to watch, Chunky or whatever the hell his name was. A perfectly nice, soft, lovable, sociopathic teddy bear, indeed.” Draco’s laughter could be heard clear out into the Common Room
