Really, what can I say?

I stay up late. I hate getting up in the mornings, unless it's sometime past noon (in which case it wouldn't even be morning anymore). I love chocolate, most books, and various movies. I can be sarcastic, and occasionally cutthroat. I dislike perpetual idiots, boring teachers first thing at school (or anytime, actually), and peanut butter. My favorite musical artists are Two Steps From Hell, Enya, Daemonia Nymphe, and Yiruma. I have a first name and a last name. I'm a high school student. Etc., etc., etc.

If I had to choose three favorite books/series: Mythology by Edith Hamilton; Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling; and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

Favorite movie: The Lord of the Rings trilogy directed by Peter Jackson.

Favorite TV Show: Avatar: The Last Airbender (I absolutely hated the movie.)

Like a great number of people here on FanFiction.Net, I want to be an author. Since December 2010, I've been sending query letters to literary agents about my first novel. Let me tell you, it's a looooong wait, and 99 times out of 100 they'll say no. Won't even consider reading your manuscript. I'm still waiting for that one "yes."

I will be posting the first few chapters to my Greek mythology-based novel here, and I will be requesting critique. Yes, I will get a warm, fuzzy, loved feeling if I get positive comments, and I have nothing against them, but I would also really appreciate it if anyone could also give me constructive criticism. Not just grammar and spelling corrections, but corrections like: Could you make this paragraph flow better? Could you add more description? Could you have less description? Could you make a stronger beginning? Could you conclude this chapter better?

And so forth.

I would greatly appreciate it if any readers I might have would pass on my story to people and critics in other fandoms, seeing as the Greek Mythology fandom is fairly small. I am not looking for more reviewers (though reviews are always lovely). I am looking for people who can point out where I can improve, because that should be the goal of every writer.
