![]() Author has written 1 story for Hetalia - Axis Powers. Age: 15 Gender: Male Nationality: American Favorite Story of all time: Pandora Hearts Additional notes: Suffers from sever social anxiety. Am practicing being more open through publicly writing fan fiction. I'm also a complete and total noob when it comes to this sort of thing. So far, my first and only story is 'Switched'. Please be nice, as this my first try and all. Flames will be met with quiet disapproval. Regarding 'Switched': I'm currently crossing my fingers, hoping that everything will somehow make sense in the end. It makes sense to me, sure, but that does't mean I'll be able to convey what I want in an understandable fashion. I hope none of my 'twists' confuse you to much. I try, I really do. Rest assured I'll attempt to explain things to the best of my ability when the opportunity presents itself. Or I'll just give up. Either one. Hey, here's something fun. Ever heard of "I write Like"? I just did and now I'm addicted. Basically, it's an online scanning program that tries to find the closest match to one's writing style among famous authors. For the heck of it, here's the results for my story Switched, chapter by chapter, with my own commentary: Chapter 1: Douglass Adams, author of 'A Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy." Perhaps Ironically, I didn't much care for that particular book when I first read it. Now, however, I look back on it fondly. Chapter 2: Still Douglass Adams. Chapter 3: H.P. Lovecraft. Incidentally, this is perhaps one of my most description heavy chapters of the story. Chapter 4: Douglass Adams. A nice return to form. Chapter 5: Douglass Adams. Chapter 6: Douglass Adams. Again. I'm starting to see a pattern here. Chapter 7: Charles Dickens. Not really surprising that this one would break the mold, especially considering that I was struggling with some major writers block at the time. Subsequently, this chapter consists mostly of padding and foreshadowing. Chapter 8: William Gibson. First chapter from America's point of view apparently by someone that, until now, I'veneer heard of. Chapter 9: Douglass Adams, predictably. Chapter 10: Mario Puzo, author of "The Godfather". Chapter 11: Isaac Asamov. Wow, two non-Douglasses in a row; that's a first. A precursor to a future trend? Chapter 12: Lewis Caroll. Ho oddly appropriate, considering this chapter primarily features a rabbit. Chapter 13: Mario Puzo, for the second time. Interesting. Chapter 14: William Gibson. Chapter 15: Issac Asimov. Another first, and author of "I, Robot". Chapter 16: Douglass Adams. About time, don't you think? Chapter 17: STEPHANIE FREAKING MEYER. My gods... What have I become? (Though when I tried scanning it section by section, oddly enough, I got Shakespeare and then to more William Gibsons. So... Shakespear*plus*Gibson=Meyer?) |
