![]() First off I want to start by saying, I AM NOT A WRITER. Every once in awhile, a story gets into my head and the quickest way to get it out is to write a line or two down on a piece of paper. Usually this is all it takes to get it out of my head. But on a rare occasion, something just sticks and will not go away. Any stories you see from me on this site are just that. Now Im not that talented at telling stories, or am I that talented at elaborating. My mind is usually 5 steps ahead of my fingers on the keyboard so I tend to rush storylines. Its a downfall, but I'll live. (and don't you just hate that when it happens?) Also, I am a terrible speller. I run everything through 2 different spell checks but something always seems to slip through. So please, if you see a spelling error, and I know that there is one there somewhere, I don't need to hear about it. ;) Now some personal info. I currently reside in San Antonio, Texas. LOVE IT! REMEMBER THE ALAMO!!! I am originally from Sioux City, Iowa. LOVE IT TOO! GO HAWKEYES!! I am married with no kids. Unless you count the three cats and the dog, then I have 4. (if hubby counts then its 5 hehehe) I am the proud wife of a US Navy Veteran who just retired after serving his country for over 24 years. GO NAVY BEAT ARMY!! Now on to my love of the TV Show Emergency! When I was about the age of 7, I became very sick with strep throat, and was home from school for over a week. Emergency was in re-runs at 2 in the afternoons on a local station and I always ended up watching with my mother. My love affair with John Gage, Roy Desoto and the men of Station 51 had begun. Ever since that point, whenever I get a chance to watch an episode,( and thanks to netflix that is quite often lol) I do. The element I love about the series is the "bromance" between Johnny and Roy. The fact that the two actors are, to this day, good friends in real life, transferred over to the characters they played on the screen. You very rarely see that type of chemisty ever on the big or little screen. It is still a joy to watch. Now, An observation I have made, and this is just my opinion so please don't get mad, but, I have noticed that writers tend to like to hurt our Johnny. He always ends up in the hospital with some tragic injury. Now on the show, if you REALLY pay attention, (and keep track like I did one long weekend hehe) Roy Desoto ended up in the hospital more than Johnny did. He was just alot more quiet about it. (Really, getting over heated in a singles club fire is way less dramatic than having to treat your own rattlesnake bite in the field.) So I vow, in any writings I do, Roy and Johnny will be spending equal amounts of time as a guest at Rampart. Thats about it, I will probably be adding to this profile later on, but who knows. Thanks and I hope you enjoy any of my writings. ps...I want to give a nod to my Second Fav series from when I was kid, The Big Valley. A Barkley/Emergency cross-over story? Who knows, anything is possible! |
