![]() Author has written 13 stories for Gundam 00, Labyrinth, Alice in Wonderland, 2010, Code Geass, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy VII, Hunger Games, and Sherlock. I am old enough to know better and have a habit of traumatising the characters I love the most. My spelling is bad, but my grammar is worse, and I blame schools for never teaching it anymore. I write mostly for Gundam 00 (which may have eaten my soul sometime between arriving in Japan and leaving it a year later) to figure out what makes them tick. I have about half a dozen muses and all of them are insane one way or another. So, partly for fun, but mostly because my array of muses seems to have grown while I wasn't looking. My usual muse is Fintan - and all inarnations thereof - but his attention now seems wholey concentrated on Hold On (original fiction), which doesn't come as much of a surprise, so he seems to have become very much my Abstract Muse, while Neil seems to have taken over the rest of Fin's usual tasks and wanders around poking holes in things and rifling through files and folders and creating puzzles out of people's brains, probably because it seemed like a good idea at the time. I also seem to have gained a few other, rather more specific muses. I have a Sephiroth muse, who specialises in that-which-should-be-mind-messing-but-actually-make-sense, and a Hallelujah muse who just runs around making things explode for no good reason - insane pyromaiac that he is - and stabbing things just to see what happens. I think Halle is my most wtf muse. I also have now, thank you so much Final Fantasy VII, a Yuffie muse, who is the cheerful-but-occasionally-serious-and-of-all-things-slightly-politically-minded muse to counterpart my Feldt muse who is the usually-serious-but-so-damn-sweet-and-unexpected muse. And then Lyle comes along, sometimes as a cat, often grinning, and bashes all their heads together. Just to see what happens. But not in the same way Halle does. Halle does it because it's fun to watch the resultant trainwreck. Lyle does it because he's bored. Or thinks they deserve it. Then he lights up a cigarette, pulls out a magazine and ignores all the shouts - and blackmail and death threats depending on exactly whose heads have been bashed togther - directed his way. My muses are insane. I think I love them. |
