This is an Eris (Eric/Tris) oneshot inspired by the song Trying Not To Love You by Nickelback. What would have happened if Eric had secretly been in love with Tris, starting from Divergent? This follows a somewhat alternate sequence of events where he wrestles with his love for her and what he needs to do for Erudite. Rated T for mild dark themes and some language.
