Darcy hides from his identity in Hertfordshire in a bid to reconcile himself to his duty and find peace before accepting his inevitable fate. What he discovers instead, is family, love, and acceptance. But what sacrifices will this new perspective cost?

P&P, Regency AU. Elizabeth has abilities, but fears being accused of witchcraft. She heals her tenants and takes care of her family but suffers from being so helplessly different. Her one certainty is that she will not live like this her whole life, so she will never marry. But love always comes when you least expect it.

Elizabeth resents her boss for his charm offensive, especially when she has no charm whatsoever. It leads to an awkward misunderstanding where he tries to kiss her, and she shoots him down, but her rejection starts a strong friendship which will be tested by a scheming Caroline, a simmering passion and their refusal to admit their love.
