When Ponyboy Davis moves in next door to Darrel and Sodapop Curtis, he doesn't have much hope that this town will be any different. Next time we see him, he's with the gang at Zack's ward, and we never see any kind of "I'm sorry we thought you were a serial killer' apology to Sweets. This is that deleted scene.

It had been three and a half years since Pony and Darry received that awful letter that said Soda had gone missing in action after being drafted. And now the question will finally be answered.
