Coming to New York, employed as a doctor by his friend's suggestion, Magnus finds himself working with one patient who seemed destined for misery. Alec, with no blood-family left and stuck inside hospital walls for over three years, finds himself drawn to the doctor who just might be able to get him out. That is, if they don't get caught with their technically illegal relationship.
