Hi, all! If you're here, then you've probably read some of my work or I've reviewed one of your stories.

A little about me: I have been a Tolkien fan since I first read The Hobbit at age 11. After that, I read The Lord of the Rings, which is hands-down my favorite work of literature ever. I've also read the Children of Hurin and the Silmarillion, but I haven't yet gotten to Unfinished Tales. In addition, I've read Tolkien's recently released epic poem The Fall of Arthur and I adore it. I also enjoy the LotR movies because I view them as separate from the book, but I really wasn't able to do the same thing for the Hobbit movies. Although I like the Hobbit movies and definitely think they have some great scenes, especially the first one, I think they depart just a little too much from the book. My favorite LotR characters are Sam, Éowyn, Éomer, and Boromir, but really I am very fond of them all and possibly too emotionally attached. :)

Also, I will always have a special place in my heart for Harry Potter, like many other people who grew up with it.

I'm also a big fan of Joss Whedon's Firefly and The Avengers, although I was a little disappointed by Age of Ultron. Except for Hawkeye. Hawkeye was awesome and I love him. I love the others too, of course, but I just felt that something about Renner's performance was particularly spot-on.

As far as other TV shows, I like Sherlock, police procedurals, etc. Basically I'll watch anything with a plot and well-developed characters. I had so much free time before Netflix. Don't even get me started on my love affair with Supernatural, which basically destroyed my life until I had to end it midway through S8.

I love writing, too, like most folks on this site, but I don't see myself becoming an author anytime soon, so fanfiction will just have to satisfy me for the foreseeable future.
