Sherlock asks John about Afghanistan. John confronts Sherlock about being a sociopath. A very important truth emerges. One shot.

When Mycroft Holmes offers John Watson an unnamed sum of money to spy on Sherlock, every part of John weighs in, in the space of a split second. Can be read as prequel sort of to my other fic, A Mad Existence Still Needs Payment. No Pairings.

John keeps getting mistaken for Sherlock's date. All the time - wherever he goes. *UPDATE* I was going to maybe write more of this, but I like how it ends, so it's now complete.

It didn't creep up on them, nor did it appear in some almighty epiphany which resulted in their running into each other's arms declaring words of love and devotion. Rather, it had always been there, because that is just the way it was. John/Sherlock

Colour is what connects the different phases of John's life. They connect Afghanistan and the bullet wound in his shoulder and his time home from the war, but most of all, they connect to Sherlock.

...And One Time He Admitted It. John makes Sherlock's life different. This is how.

Sherlock passes out. John muses on the reasons why. Containing an absorbing case, two bags of shopping, and a few apples.

Written for a prompt on LJ. Mycroft is just as much of a genius as Sherlock is. He keeps randomly kidnapping John for chats, and the locations get better. Cue Sherlock's younger sibling complex rearing up and jealousy ensues.

Sometimes it was up to John to make sure Sherlock took care of himself...cleaning and dressing a knife wound for example. Oneshot.

"Who've you pulled strings with to get this, Sherlock?" John muttered, shaking his head and smiling as Mrs. Hudson reached over and grasped his hand for a few seconds, the Landlady still grinning from ear to ear and glancing down at the tickets.

One shot. John decides Sherlock needs a taste of domesticity, and so drags him off for some grocery shopping. Headaches ensue.
