Twas in my innocent youth that I so happened to stumble upon the delights of Harry Potter. It illuminated my life, and left me o.O

Then fan fiction I did discover, and lo, my obsession thus beganeth. Enraptured, enthralled, I clung to this amazement, crying, "What wonder is thee!"

Loyally, wholeheartedly, I shippethed Harry/Cho, for my age was scant, and my knowledge not deep.

But then, with whom should I falleth in love, but Draco Malfoy, the blonde, the snarky, and the beautiful.

Ergo, I was Harry/Cho no more, for I had foundeth a better pairing.

Many a blissful day I spenteth reading Draco/Cho fanfiction, starry-eyed and filled with awe. And unto myself, I said, "Wherefore art thou my own talent? My own story? My own legacy to begin?" And hence, Precious Moments I did write.

And it came to pass the day I read OotP, and the nights I spenteth brooding over disturbing new events. For in the fifth installment, whatever should I discover, that Cho was mature-Asian no more! Sinking fast in my list of favorites, my devotion for Draco/Cho could not hold. Deeply troubled in my soul, I was.

But wherever should my wandering attention span frollick? Why, to slash fiction, of course. Frightened I was, at first, for the prospect of Harry Homosexual squicked me much.

But Maya took my heart, my soul, and Maya shattered the walls. N'ver did I weep so at stories such as hers. N'ver did I laugh so at parodies such as hers. I felleth in love.

And unto my friends, I did say, "I readeth slash!" and some cowered and said it was sick, and some said I shall burn in hell, but some said, "Really? I wanteth to, too!"

And I was spinning in frenzies of forbidden love, lost tears, desperate swears, and a thing that could never be... an ocean of laughter, of amusement, of glee... they hurt each other, they love each other, they kill each other slowly in their arms, the only way they know how, but they cannot stop, they cannot pause, they are...Harry and Draco.

They will forever be Harry and Draco.
